Description
本発明の第1実施形態について説明する。図1は本発明の第1実施形態に係る排気浄化装置を適用した内燃機関の全体構成を示す図、図2は図1の捕集器の要部構成を示す図である。
本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。図10は第2実施形態に係る排気浄化装置においてECUで実行される捕集器再生制御処理を示す流れ図である。なお、第1実施形態と同一もしくは均等部分には同一の符号を付し、その説明を省略する。
上記第1実施形態では、PM堆積量が減少時遷移点Z2から初期点に至る過程においてPM堆積量が所定値K1以下になったときに、隔壁400の表面の一部が露出した状態と判定したが、捕集器40よりも下流側における排出ガスの温度に基づいて、隔壁400の表面の一部が露出した状態か否かを判定してもよい。
Claims (9)
- 多孔質の隔壁(400)を有する捕集器(40)を内燃機関(1)の排気系に配設し、排出ガスが前記隔壁(400)を通過する際に前記捕集器(40)により排出ガス中の排気微粒子を捕集し、前記捕集器(40)の排気微粒子の堆積量が第1所定値を超えると堆積した排気微粒子を強制的に燃焼させて前記捕集器(40)の通常再生を行う内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
排気微粒子の堆積量が前記第1所定値を超えると、前記捕集器(40)の通常再生が必要と判定する再生判定手段(S108)と、
前記捕集器(40)の前後差圧を検出する前後差圧検出手段(61)と、
排気微粒子の堆積量と前記前後差圧とを対応付ける堆積特性に基づき、前記前後差圧を入力として排気微粒子の堆積量を推定する第1推定手段(S104)と、
堆積した排気微粒子によって前記隔壁(400)における排出ガス流入側の表面が覆われた後に、堆積した排気微粒子が燃焼して前記隔壁(400)の表面の一部が露出した隔壁露出状態を検出する隔壁露出検出手段(OLE_LINK2S101OLE_LINK2)と、
前記隔壁露出検出手段(S101)にて前記隔壁露出状態が検出された場合に、前記捕集器(40)に堆積した排気微粒子を強制的に完全に燃焼させる隔壁露出時再生手段(S107)とを備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記内燃機関(1)の運転状態情報および前記捕集器(40)の温度を入力として排気微粒子の堆積量を推定する第2推定手段(S106)を備え、
前記隔壁露出検出手段(S101)にて前記隔壁露出状態が検出された場合には、前記第2推定手段(S106)にて排気微粒子の堆積量を推定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記第2推定手段(S106)は、前記内燃機関(1)からの排気微粒子の排出量および前記捕集器(40)での排気微粒子の燃焼量に基づいて、前記排気微粒子の堆積量を推定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記第1推定手段(S104)の堆積特性は、排気微粒子の増加に伴って前記前後差圧が増加するときに用いられる増加特性線と、排気微粒子の減少に伴って前記前後差圧が減少するときに用いられる減少特性線とを有し、
前記増加特性線は、排気微粒子の堆積量が0の初期点から増加時遷移点(Z1)に至るまでの増加第1特性線(U1)と、排気微粒子の堆積量が前記増加時遷移点(Z1)を超えた領域の増加第2特性線(U2)とを有し、排気微粒子の増加量に対する前記前後差圧の増加量は、前記増加第1特性線(U1)よりも前記増加第2特性線(U2)の方が少なくなっており、
前記減少特性線は、排気微粒子の減少に伴って前記増加第2特性線(U2)と交差する点から減少時遷移点(Z2)に至る減少第1特性線(D1)と、排気微粒子の減少に伴って前記減少時遷移点(Z2)から前記初期点に至る減少第2特性線(D2)とを有し、排気微粒子の減少量に対する前記前後差圧の減少量は、前記減少第1特性線(D1)よりも前記減少第2特性線(D2)の方が少なくなっており、
前記隔壁露出検出手段(S101)は、前記第1推定手段(S104)により前記減少第2特性線(D2)に基づいて推定された排気微粒子の堆積量が第2所定値(K1)以下になったときに前記隔壁露出状態であると判定することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記隔壁露出検出手段(S101)は、前記捕集器(40)よりも下流側における排出ガスの温度が第3所定値以上になったときに前記隔壁露出状態であると判定することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 排出ガスのNOx濃度を推定するNOx濃度推定手段(S201)と、
NOxとの反応による排気微粒子の燃焼量を推定するNOx−PM燃焼量推定手段(S204)とを具備し、
前記隔壁露出検出手段(S101)は、前記NOx−PM燃焼量推定手段(S204)により推定された排気微粒子の燃焼量が第4所定値以上になったときに前記隔壁露出状態であると判定することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記NOx−PM燃焼量推定手段(S204)は、NOx濃度、排気微粒子の堆積量、および前記捕集器(40)の温度を用いて、NOxとの反応による排気微粒子の燃焼量を推定することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記NOx−PM燃焼量推定手段(S204)は、NOx濃度が高くなるほど、NOxとの反応による排気微粒子の燃焼量を多く推定することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記NOx−PM燃焼量推定手段(S204)は、排気微粒子の堆積量が多くなるほど、NOxとの反応による排気微粒子の燃焼量を多く推定することを特徴とする請求項7または8に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
