Description
Claims (11)
- 静止画表示時に、階調0〜(n−1)からなるn(nは4以上の整数)種の全階調に対して各階調に相当する印加電圧を画素に出力する一方、
動画表示時には、所定階調m(1≦m≦(n−2))未満の各階調に相当する各印加電圧に代えて該所定階調mに相当する印加電圧を画素に出力することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記液晶表示装置はノーマリーブラック方式を採用していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 全階調が階調0(黒)〜255(白)からなる場合において、ノーマリーブラック方式のときには、前記所定階調mは、1≦m≦32であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 全階調が階調0(黒)〜255(白)からなる場合において、ノーマリーブラック方式のときには、前記所定階調mは、9≦m≦15であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 動画表示時における前記所定階調m〜階調(n−1)に相当する印加電圧は、静止画表示時における、所定階調m〜階調(n−1)に相当する静止画用印加電圧と同一であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 静止画表示時に、階調0〜(n−1)からなるn(nは4以上の整数)種の全階調に対して各階調に相当する印加電圧を画素に出力する一方、
動画表示時には、所定階調q(1≦q≦(n−1))以上の各階調に相当する各印加電圧に代えて該所定階調q−1に相当する印加電圧を画素に出力することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記液晶表示装置はノーマリーホワイト方式を採用していることを特徴とする請求項6記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 全階調が階調0(黒)〜255(白)からなる場合において、ノーマリーホワイト方式のときには、前記所定階調qは、224≦q≦255であることを特徴とする請求項6又は7記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法
- 全階調が階調0(黒)〜255(白)からなる場合において、ノーマリーホワイト方式のときには、前記所定階調qは、241≦q≦247であることを特徴とする請求項6又は7記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 動画表示時における階調0〜前記所定階調q−1に相当する印加電圧は、静止画表示時における、階調0〜所定階調q−1に相当する印加電圧と同一であることを特徴とする請求項6又は7記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 静止画動画判定信号に基づいて、静止画であるか又は動画であるかを判定することを特徴とする請求項1、2、6又は7記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
