Description
本発明は全体として、循環障害および腎臓障害の治療および/または管理に使用される医療用デバイスおよび方法に関する。具体的には、本発明は、循環障害、腎臓障害、それらの基礎原因および病態の治療および/または管理のために、圧反射系を制御するためのデバイスおよび方法に関する。
高血圧、心不全、および、それらと関連する循環系・神経系障害に対処するために、本発明は、圧受容器を活性化することによって、血圧、神経系活動および神経ホルモン活動を選択的制御的に調整することを可能とする、いくつかのデバイス、システム、および、方法を提供する。圧受容器を選択的制御的に活性化することによって、本発明は、過度の血圧、交感神経系の活性化および神経ホルモンの活性化を下げ、それによって心臓、血管系およびその他の器官・組織に対するそれらの有害作用を極小のものとする。

Claims (22)
- 患者の圧反射系に変化を起こす圧受容器信号を誘発するシステムであって、該システムは、
圧受容器活性化デバイスであって、該圧受容器活性化デバイスの活性化によって圧受容器信号が誘発されるよう圧受容器近傍の血管腔内に設置することが可能な圧受容器活性化デバイス、および、
前記圧受容器活性化デバイスに結合され、プロセッサーとメモリーとを含む制御装置であって、メモリーは刺激処方を定義するソフトウェアを含み、制御装置は、前記刺激処方の関数として制御信号を発生し、圧受容器活性化デバイスと制御装置との間の結合は、該デバイスと該制御装置の間の少なくとも1個の無線結合を含む制御装置、を含み、
該圧受容器活性化デバイスは、該圧受容器近傍の血管腔に埋設が可能な電極構造体を含み、該電極構造体は、血管内を潰れた状態で配送され、かつ、拡張されて標的受容器近傍の血管内に埋設されることが可能なステント様構造体を含み、該電極構造体は、受信コイルと、該受信コイルに接続される複数の電極パッドを有する、システム。 - 前記制御装置は、血管内の圧受容器部位に近接する静脈に埋設可能な送信アンテナを含み、前記アンテナは、前記電極構造体と無線でつながれる信号を送信し、その構造体の中に電流を生じる、請求項1のシステム。
