Claims (6)
- 自車両の周囲に存在する障害物を検知する複数の障害物検知手段と、
車両が走行することのできない走行不可領域を取得する不可領域取得手段と、
車両に搭載されている障害物検知手段の検知結果及び検知可能領域に関する情報を他車両との間で交換する車々間通信機と、
前記複数の障害物検知手段の検知可能領域と、前記不可領域取得手段により取得された前記走行不可領域とによって囲まれた閉領域が形成されるときに、該閉領域、及び前記障害物検知手段の検知結果を時系列的に管理することにより該閉領域内の障害物の存在を推定する推定手段と、
を備え、
前記車々間通信機は、前記他車両から送信された検知結果及び検知可能領域情報を受信し、
前記推定手段は、前記車々間通信機により受信された前記検知可能領域情報と、前記検知可能領域と、前記走行不可領域とによって囲まれた閉領域が形成されるときに、該閉領域、及び、前記自車両並びに前記他車両に搭載されている前記障害物検知手段の検知結果を時系列的に管理することにより、該閉領域内の障害物の存在を推定することを特徴とする周囲環境推定装置。 - 前記推定手段は、前記閉領域の大きさに基づいて、該閉領域内の障害物の存在を推定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の周囲環境推定装置。
- 前記推定手段は、前記閉領域の大きさがゼロの状態から、前記閉領域が形成されたときには、この閉領域内には障害物が存在しないと推定することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の周囲環境推定装置。
- 前記推定手段は、前記車々間通信機により受信された先行車の検知可能領域情報、前記検知可能領域、及び前記走行不可領域によって囲まれる第1の閉領域と、前記車々間通信機により受信された後行車の検知可能領域情報、前記検知可能領域、及び前記走行不可領域によって囲まれる第2の閉領域とが一時的に結合した場合、該結合が発生した時間に基づいて、前記第1の閉領域内及び前記第2の閉領域内それぞれの障害物の存在を推定することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の周囲環境推定装置。
- 前記推定手段は、前記結合が発生した時間が短いほど、前記第1の閉領域と前記第2の閉領域との間で障害物が移動した確率を低く推定することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の周囲環境推定装置。
- 複数の車両それぞれに搭載された請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の周囲環境推定装置により構成されることを特徴とする周囲環境検出システム。
