Description
また、本エンジン音制御装置では、基本次数周波数よりも高周波の音を基本次数音に付加することで、該基本次数周波数よりも低周波の音を演出する。付加音が基本次数音よりも高周波であるため、付加音がこもり音を発生させる恐れがない。また、高周波音を発生する音付加装置(特に請求項3記載の音出力部等)は、低周波音を発生するものと比較して小型化が可能である。

Claims (5)
- エンジン音の周波数を検出するための周波数検出手段と、
制御信号に応じた周波数の音を発生し得る音付加装置と、
前記周波数検出手段の検出信号に基づいて、エンジンの基本次数周波数の音に該基本次数周波数との周波数差が所定範囲にある周波数成分の音が付加されるように、前記音付加装置に制御信号を出力する制御装置と、
を備え、
前記制御装置によって前記基本次数周波数の音よりも高周波でかつ該基本次数周波数との周波数差が該基本次数周波数よりも小さい周波数の付加音を付加することで、乗員に対し、前記基本次数周波数と前記付加音の周波数との差分の周波数の音が聴こえるように感じさせるエンジン音制御装置。 - エンジンの基本次数周波数の音レベルを検出するためのレベル検出手段をさらに備え、
前記制御装置は、エンジンの基本次数周波数の音に、該基本次数周波数との差が所定範囲にありかつ該基本次数周波数の音との音レベルの差が所定範囲にある音が付加されるように、前記音付加装置に制御信号を出力する構成とされている請求項1記載のエンジン音制御装置。 - 前記音付加装置は、前記エンジンとは独立して音信号を発生する音信号発生部と、該音信号発生部が発生した音信号を音として出力する音出力部とを含む請求項1又は請求項2記載のエンジン音制御装置。
- 前記音付加装置は、前記エンジンの動作に起因する音の周波数又はレベルを変化させ得る付加音調整部を含む請求項1又は請求項2記載のエンジン音制御装置。
- 前記付加音調整部は、前記エンジンの吸気系又は排気系の周波数特性を変化させることで、前記エンジンの基本次数周波数の音に付加する音の周波数又はレベルを調整する請求項4記載のエンジン音制御装置。
