Description

The present invention relates to a valuable printed matter that needs to prevent counterfeiting and alteration of banknotes, stock certificates, securities, passports, cards, and the like, and a method for producing the same.

Conventionally, in the case of valuable printed matter that needs to prevent counterfeiting and alteration of banknotes, stock certificates, securities, passports, cards, etc., in order to give a visual anti-counterfeiting effect, In many cases, a relief pattern for preventing forgery is applied to a plurality of locations. This relief pattern is a pattern that three-dimensionally represents a certain motif on a two-dimensional plane.

The relief pattern is formed from a plurality of lines created to constitute a background pattern, a color pattern, a pattern, and the like that are generally widely used in the design of securities prints and the like. As shown in FIG. 1, by bending a line at the boundary between the background part and the pattern part of the binary image that is the motif, a shadow (darkness) is produced at the part where the line pitch becomes narrow, and the line pitch is There is known a printed matter in which light (bright) is expressed in a widened portion and brightness and darkness are given to a boundary portion, and a binary image of a motif can be viewed three-dimensionally (for example, see Patent Document 1).

In addition, as a simple method for creating a relief pattern, a tone image motif consisting of a plurality of pixels is prepared in a computer as array data of pixels in which density values are defined, and a binary image based on the tone image is prepared. Is created, and contour lines included in the image are extracted based on the binary image. In addition, a plurality of reference lines are defined on the gradation image, and the lines created based on the reference lines are bent according to the density value of the pixel in the pattern portion included in the gradation image as a motif. A method of creating a line is known (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-158207

However, from the viewpoint of preventing counterfeiting and tampering with general securities printed matter, etc., multiple printing colors are applied using various printing methods such as intaglio printing, offset printing, and gravure printing to counterfeit, tamper, and tamper. However, when a relief pattern is formed by this conventional technique, it becomes difficult to provide contrast between light and dark and it is difficult to visually recognize the motif as a stereoscopic image.

In addition, when creating a relief pattern on a straight line using conventional technology, part of the image line is bent in accordance with the outline of the binary image that is the motif, and dark (shadows) appear in the area where the image line pitch becomes narrower. Therefore, the direction of light and shadow is limited to the longitudinal direction of the image line.

Further, when a relief pattern is created on a wavy line, the direction in which a part of the image line is bent in accordance with the contour line of the binary image serving as a motif is limited, and thus the design is restricted.

Further, when a relief pattern is created by a conventional technique in a line pattern of closed figures such as concentric circles and concentric polygons, it is difficult to apply a shadow to a binary image serving as a motif, resulting in poor visual stereoscopic effect.

In the present invention, in view of the above points, any line pattern such as an open figure such as a vertical / horizontal line, a wavy line, or a closed figure such as a concentric circle / concentric polygon is visually enhanced from the prior art. The object of the present invention is to provide a new three-dimensional pattern printed matter that is not restricted by design.

In the three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention, the first region, the second region, and the third region form a shape of characters, symbols, patterns, and the like in an array of image lines, and the first region is the second region. The area occupied by the image line is lower than that of the second area, the area occupied by the image line is lower than that of the third area, and the first area and the third area are different from the second area. The boundary between the first region, the second region, and the third region is formed at an end portion of the image line array.

The three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention is characterized in that the image lines in the second area and the image lines in the third area have different pitches.

According to the present invention, unlike the conventional technique in which a part of an image line is bent, a binary image serving as a motif is converted into a first area that becomes bright, a second area that becomes halftone, and a second area that becomes dark. When the motif is expressed in a two-dimensional plane because the boundary between the first region, the second region, and the third region is formed by the end of the image line. Thus, it is possible to obtain a three-dimensional pattern printed matter in which light and dark are more emphasized and the stereoscopic effect is increased.

In addition, according to the present invention, a three-dimensional pattern can be obtained without being affected by any line pattern such as an open figure such as a vertical, horizontal, oblique line, wave line, or a closed figure such as a concentric circle or concentric polygon. It became possible to create.

Hereinafter, a method for creating a three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In order to explain the principle of the present invention in the most understandable manner, here, a group of lines formed by horizontal lines will be described. However, a group of vertical lines, a group of lines in diagonal directions, and a group of wave lines. The three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention is also created in the same way for open figures such as concentric circles and closed figures such as concentric polygons.

First, as shown in FIG. 2A, a binary image 3 serving as a motif is created or captured as data from a scanner or the like. Here, cherry blossoms will be described as an example of the motif, but the present invention may have any shape such as letters, numbers, and patterns. As shown in FIG. 2B, the captured binary image is used as a base image 4, and the phase of the base image 4 is arbitrarily shifted, and the lines of the image line group 7 forming the base image 4 The background image portion 10 is created as a background image portion 10 that shows the shadow of the base image 4 on both the drawing lines of the background line group 8 and the drawing lines.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3A, a line pattern 6 for applying a three-dimensional pattern is created. As shown in FIG. 3B, every other line of the line pattern is an image line group 7 for forming the base image 4 and a background line for forming the background image portion. Group 8 is defined. Here, in order to make the principle of the present invention easy to understand, the image line group and the background line group are separated from the line pattern, and the image lines of the image line group 7 are solid lines, and the background line group 8 These lines are shown by broken lines, but in reality, the two line groups are not divided, and the lines of the two line groups are the same.

Next, the lines forming the base image 4 from the image line group 7 defined from the line pattern are aligned with the outline of the base image 4 as shown in FIG. Only the image line 9 of the portion is extracted, and the image line for forming the background image portion 5 from the background line group 8 is matched with the outline of the background image portion as shown in FIG. When only the background image portion 10 of the background image portion 5 is deleted, a three-dimensional pattern 11 of the present invention is created as shown in FIG.

A first region 12 that forms light in a portion where there is no image line of the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 in the contour line 16 of the three-dimensional pattern that becomes the second region 9 indicated by a broken line in FIG. The third region 13 that forms darkness in the portion where the image lines of both the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 are present is the first region 12 and the third region 13 around the second region. By providing at the sandwiched position, bright, halftone, and dark gradations are formed, and the three-dimensional pattern becomes a visually three-dimensional image. The proportion of the image area in the first area, the second area, and the third area described in claim 1 depends on the density of the image line or the area density as described above. The gradation is configured. Here, when the first region and the third region are provided at a position sandwiching the second region as the center, the lines of the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 are as shown in FIG. A first region 12 that forms light in a non-existing portion, a second region that forms in the base image 9, and a third region 13 that forms dark in a portion where both the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 have image lines. This means that the positions of are in the positional relationship shown in the figure. In addition, the solid line (ellipse), the broken line, etc. which show a 1st area | region, a 2nd area | region, and a 3rd area | region are only added on description, and are not in an actual solid pattern printed matter.

It should be noted that the first region 12 that forms light by a portion of the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 that does not have a line, and the first region 12 that forms darkness by the portion of the base image 9 and the background image portion 10 that has the image line. The three regions 13 are configured in a one-to-one ratio. However, in order to form a stereoscopic image, it is desirable that the ratio between the two regions is substantially equal. However, when creating the background image portion, the base image may be slightly scaled to take a slightly darker portion.

Detailed examples of the present invention will be described.
Example 1
As shown in FIG. 5, the three-dimensional pattern 11 of the present invention is created using a cherry blossom as a motif in a line pattern formed by horizontal lines. First, the line pattern 6 is defined as an image line group 7 and a background line group 8. The phase shift between the image line group and the background line group is set to ½ pitch. Note that this phase shift is not limited to ½, and even if the lines of the image line group 7 and the lines of the background line group 8 overlap, the effect of the present invention is exhibited. The image lines of the image line group 7 and the background line group 8 are the same, but the effects of the present invention can be obtained even if the line thickness, shape, and the like are different.

Next, the base image 4 of the cherry blossom was created as data, and the background image portion 5 was created by arbitrarily shifting the phase in order to express a shadow from the data of the base image 4. The amount of phase shift for creating the background image portion 5 is not particularly limited as long as the base image and the background image portion are not adjacent to each other. Depending on the shape of the binary image used as the motif, the place where the balance of light and shadow is the best is arbitrarily set.

Next, only the image lines forming the base image 4 are extracted from the image lines of the image line group 7 to form a second region which is a halftone, and only the background image portion 5 portion is extracted from the background line group. The three-dimensional pattern 11 of the cherry blossoms was created on the line pattern formed by the horizontal lines.

(Example 2)
A three-dimensional pattern 14 of the present invention was created as shown in FIG. 6 by the same method as in Example 1 using a cherry blossom as a motif on the line pattern formed by concentric lines. Although not shown, the line pattern is the above-mentioned open figure or closed figure, and the binary image as a motif is a character, symbol, pattern, etc. A certain three-dimensional pattern can be obtained.

(Example 3)
A portion corresponding to the first area is extracted from the line of the background line group 8 in the first embodiment, and a portion corresponding to the third area of the image line group 7 is added and arranged as a supplementary line 19. The solid pattern 15 of the present invention was created as shown in FIG.

In each embodiment, the portion corresponding to the first region has no image line, and the most stereoscopic effect is shown. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the image line occupies more than the second region. If the ratio is small, there may be a line.

Although not shown, even if the ends of the image line arrays in the background area, the first area, the second area, and the third area are in contact with each other, the line type (straight line, broken line, Even if the boundary portion of each region is formed so as to be recognized as an end portion of the drawing line arrangement by a method such as changing the drawing line width or the like, the configuration of the present invention is not impaired.

In addition, for the creation method of the present invention, two line groups having the same pitch are prepared in advance, and the base line and the background image portion referred to in the present invention are created from the two line groups. The effect of the present invention is also achieved in the method of aligning the groups by shifting the phase.

In addition, even if the above-mentioned line pattern is formed by a solid line, a broken line, a dashed line, or other image line, or a halftone dot, three regions having a difference in the proportion of the above-mentioned image line are provided to form a motif. As a result, the effects of the present invention are achieved and are included in the scope of the present invention.

In addition, the three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention is not limited to the printing method, and in addition to printing methods such as intaglio printing, offset printing, gravure printing, and screen printing, the effects of the present invention can be applied to an output device such as a printer. This is what is included and within the scope of the present invention.

Furthermore, the three-dimensional pattern printed matter of the present invention has a three-dimensional pattern that is printed on the ground, even if a pattern, a pattern, a solid print, or the like is printed on the background of the image line that forms the three-dimensional pattern. If it does not inhibit the formation of printed matter, it is included in the scope of the present invention.
