Description
剰に昇温することに起因してフィルタの溶損、破損を生じさせてしまうおそれがある。
速度を低くすることができ、フィルタの温度が過剰に昇温することを防止することができる。
始から所定時間(以下、「処理期間」という。)経過した時点でフィルタ再生処理の実行を終了する。なお、当該処理期間は、フィルタ15に堆積したPMが全て除去されるように予め定められるものであるが、フィルタの温度によりPMの酸化反応速度が異なり堆積したPMが全て酸化除去されるまでの期間が異なるので、当該処理期間は、フィルタ再生処理時のフィルタの温度と予め実験等により作成されたマップに基づいて変更され得る。
ルタが溶損するほど過剰に昇温しない堆積PM量の最大値であることが好適である。
常再生処理を実行するかを選択する。これは言い換えればフィルタ再生処理時のフィルタの目標温度を低温再生処理の目標温度にするのか通常再生処理の目標温度にするのかを設定するものなので、本ステップが目標温度設定手段として機能する。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に配置され排気ガス中に含まれる微粒子及び灰分を捕集するフィルタと、
当該フィルタに捕集され堆積した微粒子量を把握する堆積微粒子量把握手段と、
前記フィルタに捕集され堆積した灰分量を把握する堆積灰分量把握手段と、
前記フィルタの温度を目標温度にしつつフィルタ内を酸化雰囲気とすることにより前記微粒子を酸化除去してフィルタを再生するフィルタ再生処理を、前記堆積微粒子量把握手段が把握したフィルタに堆積した微粒子量が所定量より多い場合に開始するフィルタ再生処理手段と、
を備える内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記フィルタ再生処理手段は、前記目標温度を設定する目標温度設定手段を有し、
当該目標温度設定手段は、前記堆積灰分量把握手段が把握したフィルタに堆積した灰分量に基づいて目標温度を設定し、前記灰分量が閾値以上である場合には、前記フィルタに堆積した灰分量が閾値より少ない場合の目標温度よりも低くなるように目標温度を設定することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記目標温度設定手段は、前記堆積灰分量把握手段が把握したフィルタに堆積した灰分量が閾値以上である場合には、前記フィルタ再生処理開始から所定期間だけ、フィルタに堆積した灰分量が閾値より少ない場合の目標温度よりも低くなるように目標温度を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記所定期間は、前記堆積微粒子量把握手段にて把握された微粒子量が基準値以下になるまでの期間であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記堆積微粒子量把握手段は、前記フィルタ再生処理開始後に酸化除去された微粒子量を算出する除去微粒子量算出手段を有し、前記所定量から当該除去微粒子量算出手段にて算出された微粒子量を減算してフィルタに堆積している微粒子量を算出することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
