Claims (5)
- シリンダヘッドの吸気ポートを形成する中子に、吸気側からシリンダ側に向かって流れる吸気の流れ方向に沿う仕切り板を予め設置し、該中子を鋳型に設置して注湯することにより前記仕切り板を鋳包むようにしたシリンダヘッドの製造方法において、
前記中子は、前記仕切り板のシリンダ側端部となる部分を固定保持すると共に、前記仕切り板の吸気側端部となる部分に、前記仕切り板の板厚より大きい厚さを有し、溶湯の熱による前記仕切り板の熱膨張を許容する膨張許容空間を形成する部材を設け、前記膨張許容空間を形成する部材の両側に、前記膨張許容空間の内部に前記溶湯が直接流入せずかつ前記仕切り板の熱膨張により破損し得る砂付き部を形成したことを特徴とするシリンダヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記仕切り板は、該仕切り板の両側縁部が溶湯に鋳包まれるように前記中子より外部に突出したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシリンダヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記膨張許容空間は、前記仕切り板の前記吸気側となる端部に当該膨張許容空間が形成されるように底部を吸気側に設置した断面U字状のプレート部材により形成したことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のシリンダヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記膨張許容空間は、前記仕切り板の少なくとも吸気側となる端部に熱溶解性の挿入物を設けることにより形成したことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のシリンダヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記膨張許容空間は、前記仕切り板の少なくとも吸気側となる端部に、前記仕切り板の熱膨張を許容する弾性材を設けることにより形成したことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のシリンダヘッドの製造方法。
