Claims (9)
- 第1基板上に各々並べて形成される第1電極及び第2電極と、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に交差して第2基板上に形成されるアドレス電極と、を含むプラズマディスプレイパネルを駆動する方法において、
維持期間の間、
前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に電圧パルスを交互に印加する段階と;
前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加される間、他方の電極をフローティングさせた後に第1電圧レベルに維持する段階と;
を含み、
前記電圧パルスの上昇期間の間に前記他方の電極をフローティングさせる
ことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。 - 第1基板上に各々並べて形成される第1電極及び第2電極と、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に交差して第2基板上に形成されるアドレス電極と、を含むプラズマディスプレイパネルを駆動する方法において、
維持期間の間、
前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に電圧パルスを交互に印加する段階と;
前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加される間、他方の電極をフローティングさせた後に第1電圧レベルに維持する段階と;
を含み、
前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちの電圧パルスが印加されない電極をフローティングさせる時点は、前記パネルの負荷によって異なるように設定される
ことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。 - 第1基板上に各々並べて形成される第1電極及び第2電極と、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に交差して第2基板上に形成されるアドレス電極と、を含むプラズマディスプレイパネルを駆動する方法において、
維持期間の間、
前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に電圧パルスを交互に印加する段階と;
前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加される間、他方の電極をフローティングさせた後に第1電圧レベルに維持する段階と;
を含み、
前記フローティングさせた電極を前記第1電圧レベルに維持させる時点は、前記電圧パルスによって発生した1回の維持放電が終了した後の1μs以内である
ことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。 - 前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加された後に、他方の電極をフローティングさせることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。
- 前記他方の電極をフローティングさせた後、インダクタとの共振を通じて前記第1電圧に変更することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。
- 前記アドレス電極は前記維持期間の間は継続して接地電圧レベルを維持することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。
- 第1及び第2基板と;
前記第1基板に並べて形成される第1電極及び第2電極と;
前記第2基板に形成されるアドレス電極と;
リセット期間、アドレス期間、維持放電期間の間に前記第1電極、前記第2電極、及び前記アドレス電極に駆動信号を送る駆動回路と;を含み、
維持期間の間に前記駆動回路は、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極とに電圧パルスを交互に印加し、
前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加される間、他方の電極をフローティングさせた後、第1電圧レベルに維持し、
前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちの電圧パルスが印加されない電極をフローティングさせる時点は、前記パネルの負荷によって異なるように設定される
ことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネル。 - 前記維持期間の間、前記アドレス電極を第2電圧レベルに維持することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネル。
- 前記電圧パルスが前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうちのいずれか一方の電極に印加された後に、他方の電極をフローティングさせることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプラズマディスプレイパネル。
