Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気系に設けられた触媒に付与する酸素変化量に基づいて当該内燃機関に供給する混合気の空燃比を強制的にリッチまたはリーンに振って設定し、このリッチまたはリーンへの振り幅を、劣化した前記触媒では酸素貯蔵量がほぼ飽和するように設定し、正常な前記触媒では酸素貯蔵量が飽和しない程度に設定し、前記触媒下流の酸素濃度検出手段の検出値に基づいて前記触媒の劣化を診断する内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置において、
前記空燃比を最初にリッチに振る場合には、前記触媒の酸素貯蔵量がほぼゼロになるまで振ることを特徴とする内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。 - 内燃機関の排気系に設けられた触媒に付与する酸素変化量に基づいて当該内燃機関に供給する混合気の空燃比を強制的にリッチまたはリーンに振って設定し、このリッチまたはリーンへの振り幅を、劣化した前記触媒では酸素貯蔵量がほぼ飽和するように設定し、正常な前記触媒では酸素貯蔵量が飽和しない程度に設定し、前記触媒下流の酸素濃度検出手段の検出値に基づいて前記触媒の劣化を診断する内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置において
前記空燃比を最初にリーンに振る場合には、前記触媒の酸素貯蔵量がほぼ飽和するまで振ることを特徴とする内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。 - 前記リッチまたはリーンへの振り幅は、当該リッチの振り幅が当該リーンの振り幅よりも大きく設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。
- 前記リッチまたはリーンに振る制御を開始してから所定期間は触媒劣化診断を行わないことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。
