従来、素練りを終了した原料ゴムにカーボンブラック、加硫剤、オイル等を添加してバンバリーミキサー等で混練する混合練りには、各種の混練方法が知られている。
一般的な混合練り手順は、第1ステップとして、原料ゴムと加硫剤を除くゴム配合剤とをバンバリーミキサーで混練するノンプロ練りを行い、次いで、第2ステップとして、このノンプロ練りのゴムを上記バンバリーミキサーから排出して十分に冷却した後に、この冷却したゴムをバンバリーミキサーに移し替え、加硫剤を含むゴム配合剤を添加して更に混練するプロ練りを行っていた。

ノンプロ練りは、カーボンブラック等の分散を十分に行うことを目的とするものであり、また、プロ練りは主に加硫剤等の分散を十分に行うことを目的とするものであるが、ノンプロ練りでの練り温度はカーボンブラック等を十分に分散させるために140〜160℃で行なっている。

本発明の目的は、上記従来のノンプロ練り及びプロ練りの手順からなる混合練りにおける課題を解消しようとするものであり、作業性の効率化を達成できるゴムの混練方法を提供することである。

本発明者は、前記課題を解決するために鋭意研究を行った結果、特定構造のゴム混練装置内でノンプロ練り及びプロ練りを行うことにより上記目的のゴムの混練方法を得ることに成功し、本発明を完成するに至ったのである。

すなわち、本発明のゴムの混練方法は、(1)及び(2)に存する。
(1) ゴム混練装置内に第1混練部と第2混練部とを備えると共に、薬品投入口部が配置され、上記第1混練部内で原料ゴムと加硫剤を除くゴム配合剤とを混練し、次いで、該第1混練部で混練したゴムを押出機からなる第2混練部内に排出して該第2混練部で冷却しながら上記薬品投入口部から加硫剤を含むゴム配合剤をゴム温度が100℃以下になった段階で添加して混練した後、この第2混練部で混練したゴムは、ゴム混練装置内に設けた排出ロール部により排出することを特徴とするゴムの混練方法。
(2) 前記第2混練部は、第1混練部の下部に配置されると共に、第2混練部の上部に前記薬品投入口部が配置され、第1混練部で混練したゴムは、第1混練部の底部から第2混練部に排出される上記(1)記載のゴムの混練方法。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して説明する。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に使用するゴム混練装置の一例を示すものであり、図中10はゴム混練装置である。
ゴム混練装置10は、一対のロータ11a,11aを有するバンバリミキサーからなる第1混練部11と、該第1混練部11の下部に一体に配置される押出機からなる第2混練部12とを備えると共に、第1混練部11と第2混練部12間に薬品投入口部13が配置されている。
また、ゴム混練装置10には、上記第2混練部12で混練したゴムを装置外に排出するための一対の平行なロール14a,14aを有する排出ロール部14が該第2混練部12の終端に配置されている。
