本発明は、扉を開閉するための扉支持装置及びそれを適用した収納家具に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、収納空間を開閉し得る扉を上下方向に移動させるように構成した扉支持装置を、ブラケット等を介して壁面に取り付ける壁掛け式やデスクの天板の上方領域に配置するデスクトップ式のキャビネット等の収納家具に適用したものが種々考えられている。

このような収納家具には、例えば収納家具本体の収納空間を開放する開口部の上端部にローラを設けておき、扉をリンク機構やスプリング等の作用により閉止位置から跳ね上げ可能に支持する扉支持装置を有し、その扉支持装置によって上方へ持ち上げられた扉をローラに添接させたうえで収納家具本体の天壁に沿って格納することで、収納空間を開放するように構成したものや、複数の偏心カムやスプリング等を組み合わせた構造によって閉止位置にある扉を上方へ跳ね上げるように構成した扉支持装置を適用したものなどが知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、このような構成による従来の扉支持装置であると、装置そのものを構成する部品点数が多くその構造も複雑であるため、装置の動作確認やメンテナンスが煩雑であるという不具合や、コスト高になって収納家具全体の価格も高価になりがちであるという問題が生じている。

特にデザイン上の観点等から扉を前方へ膨出させつつ湾曲させた収納家具においては、その湾曲した扉を開口縁部に干渉させることなく適切に跳ね上げ得るように構成するために、従来より上記のような技術を駆使した工夫が各種なされているため、扉支持装置の構造は極めて複雑化なものとなっており、上述した不具合や問題が顕著である。

そこで本発明は、以上のような問題に鑑みて、極めて簡素な構成でありながらスムーズな扉の開閉を実現することができ、しかも低コストでの製造が可能な扉支持装置及びそれを適用した収納家具を提供することを主たる目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
すなわち、まず本発明の扉支持装置は、部分円弧状に膨出して湾曲する形状を有してなる扉を、所定の収納空間を外部に開放し且つ開口縁部の一部を前記扉の湾曲と略同一位置に中心を設けて前記扉に沿って部分円弧状に湾曲させた開口部に対して上下方向へ開閉可能に支持するものであって、前記開口部を閉塞する閉止位置と開放する開成位置との間で前記扉を回転動作により移動可能に支持する支持部材を具備してなり、前記扉の上端部の対応位置にある開口縁部の上端とこれら扉及び開口縁部の反開口部側に規定された湾曲の中心とを結ぶ基準線を設定し、この基準線上若しくは基準線よりも上方位置に前記支持部材の回転支点を設定し、更に、当該支持部材の先端部を前記扉の下端部に固定して取り付けた上で、当該扉を開成位置にした際に、当該扉の下端部と当該支持部材の先端部との取付位置が前記開口縁部の前方側となるように設定していることを特徴とするものである。

このような扉支持装置の構成によれば、上記の位置に支持部材の回転支点を設定していることにより、その回転支点から開口縁部までの距離は、その上端までの距離が最も短く下端までの距離が最も長く、且つ上端から下端までの各部までの距離は漸次長くなる。そして開口縁部に対応して湾曲している扉を支持部材に支持させて閉止位置から開成位置へ又は開成位置から閉止位置へ移動させる際には、扉の各部が支持部材の回転支点を中心とし、その中心から各部までの距離を半径とする円運動をすることになる。すなわち、扉の各部は同一位置を中心として下端側へ行くほど漸次長い半径を有する部分円弧状の軌跡を描くため、閉止位置と開成位置との間で扉のいずれの箇所も開口縁部と干渉することがない。その結果、この扉支持装置は、扉を簡素な構成でスムーズに開閉動作させることが可能である。

扉を開成方向へ軽く移動させることができ、しかも開成位置から扉が不意に閉止方向へ移動するのを好適に抑制するためには、支持部材に扉の開成方向へ付勢する付勢手段を設け、閉止位置と開成位置との間において、扉を開成位置へ移動させる付勢手段による付勢力と、自重により扉自体が閉止位置へ向かう力とが拮抗する思案位置が存在するようにしていることが好ましい。

このような作用を奏する付勢手段としては、基端部を前記支持部材の回転支点とは異なる位置に回転可能に設け且つ先端部を支持部材の一部に回転可能に取着した弾性付勢部材が挙げられ、扉の移動スピードを適切なものとすることができる具体的な弾性付勢部材には、伸縮可能なガススプリングが挙げられる。また、シリンダに対するロッドの往復の抵抗を調節し得る油量調節弁を設けたガススプリングを用い、扉を閉止位置までゆっくりとした速度で落下させるようにすることもできる。

また、支持部材により扉の下端部を支持するように構成すれば、扉の開成位置において開口部を広く開放することができると考えられるが、開口部を寄り広く開放しつつ、開成位置に置いて扉の下端部を開口縁部から前方へできるだけ突出させないようにするためには、支持部材を、その回転支点及び先端部を結ぶ直線と該回転支点及び弾性付勢部材の基端部を結ぶ直線とがなす角の間において直線状に延び回転支点側に設けられる第1の支持要素と、該第1の支持要素の先端部から所定角度をなして延び先端部を扉の下端部に取着した第2の支持要素とからなる屈曲したものとすることが望ましい。

この場合、扉支持装置の動作の安定性を高めるには、第1の支持要素の延出方向における中間位置に弾性付勢部材の先端部を取着するとよい。

以上のような扉支持装置を適用した本発明の収納家具は、内部に収納空間とその収納空間を少なくとも一方に開放する開口部する収納家具本体と、開口部の開口縁部に沿って収納空間を上下方向へ開閉可能に設けられた扉部と、開口部を閉塞する閉止位置と開放する開成位置との間で回転動作により移動可能に支持する支持部材を有する扉支持装置とを具備するものである。そして、扉部の少なくとも一部を反開口部側に設定された中心から所定の半径で開閉方向へ部分円弧状に前方へ膨出して湾曲する形状に形成するとともに、開口縁部の一部を扉部の湾曲の中心と略同位置に設けた中心から所定の半径で扉部に沿って湾曲させて形成し、前記扉部の上端部の対応位置にある開口縁部の上端とこれら扉部及び開口縁部の湾曲の中心とを結ぶ基準線を設定し、この基準線上若しくは基準線よりも上方位置に前記支持部材の回転支点を設定し、更に、当該支持部材の先端部を前記扉の下端部に固定して取り付けた上で、当該扉を開成位置にした際に、当該扉の下端部と当該支持部材の先端部との取付位置が前記開口縁部の前方側となるように設定することにより、上述した扉支持装置を適用することによる作用が効果的に奏され、収納家具全体のコストダウンを容易に図ることができる。

特に、上述のように扉部の閉止位置と開成位置との間に思案位置を設定した場合、異なる幅寸法の収納家具に対して共通の扉支持装置を使用することができるようにするためには、思案位置に置いて扉部の重量と付勢手段による付勢力との均衡を図る必要があるため、扉部の幅寸法に対応して、扉部の重量を調節する重量調節手段を該扉部に設けることが望ましい。

また、扉支持装置による扉部の支持が片持ちにならず、扉支持装置は使用状態で外部に露出させることなく、しかも扉部のスムーズな動作を損なわないようにするためには、収納家具本体を、収納空間の内壁を構成する内側壁と収納家具本体の外壁を構成する外側壁とを有するものとし、これら内側壁と外側壁との間に扉支持部材の収容部を形成して、左右の収容部に同期動作する一対の扉支持装置をそれぞれ収容するとよい。

なお、扉及び開口縁部が湾曲しているか否かに拘わらず上記と同様にスムーズな開閉を簡素な構成で実現し得る本発明の収納家具としては、内部の収納空間を外部に開放する開口部を有する収納家具本体と、前記開口部に対して設けられる扉部と、該扉部を上下方向へ開閉可能に支持する扉支持装置とを具備するものであって、前記扉支持装置が、前記収納空間を閉塞する閉止位置と開放する開成位置との間で前記扉を回転動作により移動可能に支持する支持部材を具備し、該支持部材の先端部と前記扉の下端部とを固定した状態で、該扉を該支持部材に支持させて閉止位置から開成位置までの間、扉の各部を開口部における開口縁部から漸次離反させ、且つ扉の各部が通過する領域が前記開口縁部と干渉しないように構成し、当該扉を開成位置にした際に、当該扉の下端部と当該支持部材の先端部との取付位置が前記開口縁部の前方側となるように設定した収納家具を挙げることができる。このようにすることで、扉及び開口縁部が湾曲しているか、平面的であるか、屈曲しているか、波形であるかなどの形状に拘わらず扉の各部の閉止位置と開成位置との間における軌跡が開口縁部と干渉しないので、上述した扉支持装置及び収納家具と同等のメリットを得ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施形態を、図面を参照して説明する。

図1及び図2に示すこの実施形態は、パーティションパネル等により構成される壁面Wに取り付けた収納家具の一種である壁掛け式のキャビネットAである。本実施形態は、このキャビネットAを、例えば隣接するパーティションパネル間に形成したスリットSに設けられたフック孔Saに、ブラケットBを介して取り付けた態様であって、図1は、収納家具本体たるキャビネット本体1の内部に形成された収納空間1sを扉部2によって閉塞した状態である閉止位置Xを示し、図2は、収納空間1sを開口部11を通じて開放するべく扉部2を扉支持装置3によって上方へ移動させた状態である開成位置Yを示している。

以下、このキャビネットAの各部について、図1〜図4を用いて具体的に詳述する。なお、図3及び図4は、一方の外側板152を取り外した状態を示している。

まず、キャビネット本体は、主として天壁12、背壁13、底壁14、及び左右の側壁15によって包囲される箱形をなすものである。そして、これら各壁により包囲される内部空間を収納空間1sとし、この収納空間1sを前方へ開放する開口部11を通じて外部に露出させている。

ここで、本実施形態では天壁12及び背壁13を、一枚の金属板を略直角に折り曲げ成形することにより形成しており、天壁12と背壁13の形状は、平面視又は背面視略長方形である。そして、天壁12の上面を前記収納空間1sには収納しない物品を載置し得る物品載置面12aとして利用できるようにしている。また、底壁14の上面は、収納空間1s内の物品載置面を構成している。さらに、この底壁14を折り曲げ成形することによって下方に開口する凹部(図示省略)を形成して、この凹部に薄型の照明器具(図示省略)を配置し得るようにしている。

さらに左右に対をなす側壁15は、それぞれ内側板151及び外側板152の二重構造をなすものである。特に外側板152は、上縁、下縁、後縁を直線状に形成しているが、前縁を前方へ膨出させた部分円弧状に形成している。そして、これら内側板151と外側板152によって挟まれ、上方及び下方を前記天壁12及び底壁14により閉塞される空間の前端部側を、扉支持装置3を収容する収容部153としている。ここで、内側板151は収納空間1sを包囲する側壁を構成するものであり、他方、外側板152は、キャビネット本体1の外側壁を構成するものである。しかして、内側板152は、天壁12、背壁13、及び底壁14に固定して設けられている。これに対して外側板152は、収容部153の内部の扉支持装置3の動作確認や部品交換等のメンテナンスの便を考慮して、内側板151に着脱可能に取り付けられており、外側板152を取り外した際には、前記収容部153を外側方に開放して、扉支持装置3を露出させ得るようにしている。そのための構成として、図3及び図4に示すように、内側板151の外向面における上端部に、正面視概略コ字形をなして前後に延びるチャネル状の補強部材151aを溶接等により取り付ける一方、外側板152の内向面にも同様の補強部材(図示省略)を設け、これら補強部材の対向面同士を添接させた状態で、収納空間1sの内側から外側板152側の補強部材に設けたナットにビスを止着することにより、外側板152を内側板151に取り付けている。また、天壁12の側縁部と内側板151の下端部は、共に収納空間1sよりも外側方に延出させており、この延出部分に外側板152の上端部及び下端部をそれぞれ係合させている。さらに、背壁13の側端部は内側に向けて矩形状をなすように切り欠いており、この切欠部分と外側板152の後端部とによって形成される後開口溝154を通じて、ブラケットBを後方から前記収容部153の後方に形成された空間に収容し得るようにしている。

また、左右の外側板152の前端部における膨出部分に対応する内向面側には、その膨出部分と同様に前縁を湾曲させた樹脂製の保護部材16をそれぞれ配置している。この保護部材16は、天壁12、底壁14、内側板151及び外側板152の前縁部を保護するべく設けたものである。さらに保護部材16の幅方向中央部には、上下方向に延びて開口する前開口溝161を形成しており、この前開口溝161を通じて前記収容部153を前方へ開放している。

以上のような構成により、キャビネット本体1における開口部11の開口縁部11aは、天壁12及び底壁14の前縁部と、保護部材15の内側の前縁部とによって構成される。したがって、開口部11の側端部における開口縁部11aの形状は、図5に示すように側面視した場合、キャビネット本体1の後方位置に中心oを有し、その中心oから開口縁部11aを構成する保護部材16の前縁までの距離を半径とした部分円弧状をなしている。

扉部2は、前方に膨出して湾曲する金属製の前板21と、前板21の背面側に取り付けたロ字形をなす補強部22と、この補強部22の下端部に取り付けられ前板21の下方に位置付けた操作部23とを具備している。

前板21の上端部は、この扉部2の閉止位置Xにおいて天壁12よりも上方に突出している。また、前板21の下端部は、同じく閉止位置においてキャビネット本体1の下端よりもやや上方位置に設定している。そして、この前板21の湾曲形状は、図5に示すように、前記開口縁部11aの湾曲形状の中心oを中心として、その中心oから前板の前面までの距離を半径とする部分円弧状である。また、操作部23は、前板21の幅寸法よりも若干小さい幅寸法を有し、前板21の下端部から後方及び下方へ屈曲した形状をなしている。そして、この操作部23は、ラッチ機構によって底壁14の両側端部に前方及び下方へ開口させて形成した受け部141に、閉止位置Xで選択的に係合するようにしている。さらに、本実施形態では、幅寸法の異なるキャビネットAにおいて側壁15及び扉支持装置3を共通に用い得るようにしたものである。そのため、扉部2の重量を幅寸法の長短に拘わらず略一定に保つための重量調節手段として、扉部2の幅寸法に応じて適宜の重量を有する例えば板状の重り部材(図示省略)を、前記補強部22の内側に、前板21に添接させて設けられるようにしている。

このような構成の扉部2を支持する扉支持装置3は、扉部2を直接支持する支持部材たる1本の支持アーム31と、この支持アーム31を扉部2の開成方向へ付勢する付勢手段として機能する弾性付勢部材たるガススプリング32とから構成される。これら支持アーム31及びガススプリング32は、前記収容部153内に収容されているが、これらの部材は、前記内側板151の外向面における後端部側に上下方向に延び起立姿勢で取り付けられ内側板151の補強を兼ねる取付部材151bに取り付けている。なお、左右の扉支持装置3は、それらが支持する扉部3により連結されて、同期動作するようにしている。

支持アーム31は、側面視V字形をなす1本の金属棒からなるものである。そして、基端側の部位を前記取付部材151bに回転可能に取り付けた第1の支持要素311とし、先端側の部位を扉部2に固定して取り付けた第2の支持要素312としている。具体的に、第1の支持要素311の基端部は、ピン等により前記取付部材151bの上端部に枢着し、その枢着点を支持アーム31の回転支点pとしている一方、第2の支持要素312の先端部を図示しないビス等を用いて補強部22に後方から取り付けている。さらに詳述すると、前記回転支点pの位置は、図5に示すように、開口縁部11aの湾曲形状の中心oと前記開口縁部11aの上端とを結んだ線を一点鎖線で示すような基準線mとした場合、この基準線mよりも上方である。このように回転支点pの位置を設定した理由は後述する。また、図3及び図5に実線で示すように閉止位置Xにおいて、第2の支持要素312が略水平姿勢となり、これに対して第1の支持要素311が後傾姿勢となるようにしている。一方、同図に想像線で示すように開成位置Yにおいて、第1の支持要素311が略水平姿勢となり、第2の支持要素312が前傾姿勢となるようにしている。また、これら第1の支持要素311と第2の支持要素312とがV字形に開いた角度は、例えば本実施形態においては約120°としている。さらに第1の支持要素311の長手寸法は、その先端部が開成位置Yにおいて天壁12の前端よりも若干前方に位置し、第2の支持要素312を前方の外部へ持ち出し得る程度に設定している。

ガススプリング32には、シリンダ部321及びロッド部322を有する市販の一般的なものであり、本実施形態ではロッド部322を下にして前傾姿勢で設けている。すなわち、ロッド部322の下端部を前記取付部材151bに回転可能に取り付ける一方、シリンダ部321の上端部を第1の支持要素311に回転可能に取り付けて、支持アーム31を開成方向へ付勢するようにしている。本実施形態におけるロッド部322の具体的な取付位置は、前記支持アーム31の回転支点pの略真下であり、これに対してシリンダ部321の取付位置は、第1の支持要素311の長手方向中央部よりもやや上方位置である。

なお、閉止位置Xと開成位置Yにおいて、第2の支持要素312及び第1の支持要素311をそれぞれ水平姿勢に維持し、且つキャビネット本体1に対する支持アーム31の衝突により生じ得る損傷の防止のため、内側板151の外向面の上下にそれぞれゴム製等のクッション部材33、34を設けている。具体的には、下側のクッション部材33は、内側板151の前端部において外向面から外側方へ突出させたクッション取付部材34aの上面に取り付けたものであり、上側のクッション部材34は、前記クッション部材33の略真上の位置において前記補強部材151aの下向面に取り付けたものである。また、保護部材16に形成した前開口溝161を通じて第2の支持要素312が前方へ突出することになるため、その前開口溝161の開口幅寸法は支持アーム31の厚み寸法よりも若干大きく設定してあり、さらにその長手方向における開口寸法は第2の支持要素312の可動範囲に略等しく設定している。

以上のように各部を構成した結果、本実施形態は、以下に述べるような効果を奏する。

まず、支持アーム31の回転支点pを前記基準線mよりも上方位置に設定したのは、図5に色の濃い網掛けを付して示す基準線m上若しくはそれよりも上方の領域K1に回転支点pを設定すれば、その回転支点pと開口縁部11aの各部との距離との関係に基づいている。すなわち、回転支点pから開口縁部11aの上端までの距離が最短となり、前記距離が長くなって、回転支点pから開口縁部11aの下端までの距離が最長となることから、回転支点pを中心に扉部2を閉止位置Xから開成位置Yへ回転移動させた場合、扉部2の各部は閉止位置Xにおける開口縁部11aの対応位置から漸次離反して、同図に薄い網掛けを付した領域K2を通過するような軌跡を描く。従って、扉部2が移動中に開口縁部11aと干渉することは全く生じることがない。これに反して前記領域K1よりも下方に回転支点pを設けると、扉部2の移動による軌跡が必ず開口縁部11aと干渉することになる。

また、閉止位置Xと開成位置Yとの間で、ガススプリング32による開成方向への付勢力と、自重により扉部2が閉止方向へ向かおうとする力とが均衡する位置、すなわち、思案位置Z(図5参照)が設定される。したがって、扉部2を開ける際には、閉止位置Xから思案位置Zまでの間は、扉部2の自重がガススプリング32の付勢力に勝っているため、扉部2に上方へ若干の力を加える必要があるが、その勢いで思案位置Zを越えると、ガススプリング32の付勢力により扉部2は自動的に開成位置Yまで移動する。逆に、扉部2を閉じる際には、開成位置Yから思案位置Zまでの間は、ガススプリング32の付勢力が扉部2の自重に勝っているため、扉部2に下方へ若干の力を加える必要があるが、その勢いで思案位置Zを越えると、扉部2の自重により扉部2は自動的に閉止位置Xまで移動する。その結果、扉部2のスムーズな開閉動作が確保され、且つ不意に開閉動作するというような不具合が防止される。

さらに、支持アーム31及び扉部2の形状を上述のようなものとしたことから、閉止位置Xでは扉部2により開口部11を略完全に閉塞することができる一方、開成位置Yでは開口部11が扉部2に邪魔されることなく略全開することができる。これに加えて、閉止位置Xにおける扉部2の前板21の下端が開口縁部11aの下端にまで至っていないことから、開成位置Yにおいて、扉部2の開口縁部11aよりも前方への突出量d1と、開口縁部11aの上端から前板21の下端までの上方への突出量d2とを、可及的に小さくすることが可能であり、その結果、極めて広く開放した開口部11を通じて収納空間1sへの物品の出し入れをスムーズに行うことができる。しかも、支持アーム31の第2の支持要素312は、樹脂製の保護部材16に形成した前開口溝161内を上下動作するため、その動作時におけるキャビネット本体1の傷付きをも防止することができる。なお、市販のガススプリング32のサイズによる制約も受けるが、閉止位置Xと開成位置Yとの間で、可能な限りガススプリング32の作動角を大きくし、且つロッド部322の伸縮量を大きくするように、各部材を配置することで、扉開閉装置3及び扉部2の動作の安定化が図られる。

また、通常の使用状態では扉開閉装置3は二重構造をなす側壁15内の収容部153内に隠蔽されているが、メンテナンス時には外板152を取り外すことにより、収納空間1s内部に収納された物品を特に取り出すことなく、機構部品のメンテナンスを行うことができる。

さらにまた、天壁12の上面をも物品載置面12aとして利用することができ、閉止位置Xでは天壁12よりも上方へ突出する扉部2の上端部により、前記物品載置面12aに載置した物の前方への脱落を容易に防止することができる。

なお、本発明は上述した実施形態の構成に限られるものでないのは勿論であり、各部の具体的構成についても上記実施形態に限られることなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形が可能である。
