床を少なくとも前後一対配設された横編機の歯口部の下
方の編地通過経路内にある編地を捕捉して引下げる編地
用引下げ手段を設けた横編機であって、編地用引下げ手
段は針床の長手方向に引下げ部材を複数個並べて形成さ
れ、編地の引下げ作用時は該引下げ部材を夫々順次若し
くは個別に編地の引下げ作動可能に構成した編地引下げ
装置において、 前記編地用引下げ手段の引下げ部材は、引下げ部材本体
の編地に対面する部分に編地捕捉面を設けてなり、該編
地捕捉面は弾性材を介して引下げ部材本体に取付けられ
ており、下降時には編地を捕捉し、上昇時には筒状編地
を解放する形状に形成するとともに編地捕捉面を引下げ
部材本体に対して突出方向に押圧付勢し、不作用時に引
下げ部材本体の側面から突出しない位置に格納可能若し
くは突出量が少なくなるように退入可能に構成したこと
