実施例では、5.5インチ×7.5インチの楕円スピーカを対
象として、長径方向の隙間9はエッジ接着に必要な最小
限の遊びとし、短径方向の隙間10は積極的に広げてい
る。これによって、長径の波長による周波数でのエッジ
共振を増加させずに短径の波長による周波数でのエッジ
共振を増加させることができ、また短径の位置で集中的
に隙間を設けるため共振によるディップ効果は大きい。
実験では、短径方向の隙間10は2mm以上で効果があり、
5〜6mmで最適値を得た。但し、広げ過ぎはローリング
