Abstract
【解決手段】この受信方法は、HDRに適合する第1のコンテンツと、OETFおよびEOTFのうちの一方を示す、その第1のコンテンツの特性情報とを受信し(ステップS21)、SDRに適合し、かつ、字幕および画像のうちの少なくとも1つを含み、かつ、第1のコンテンツと共に表示される第2のコンテンツを受信し(ステップS22)、TTMLで記述されたスケールファクタが受信されたか否かを判定し、そのスケールファクタが受信されたと判定された場合、そのスケールファクタを用いて、第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第1の変換コンテンツに変換し、スケールファクタが受信されていないと判定された場合、受信装置に格納されているデフォルト値を用いて、第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第2の変換コンテンツに変換する(ステップS23)。

本発明者は、「背景技術」の欄において記載した非特許文献1に関し、以下の問題が生じることを見出した。

Claims (3)
- 受信装置によって行われる受信方法であって、
HDR(High Dynamic Range)に適合する第1のコンテンツと、OETF(opto-electrical transfer function)およびEOTF(electro-optical transfer function)のうちの一方を示す、前記第1のコンテンツの特性情報とを受信し、
SDR(Standard Dynamic Range)に適合し、かつ、字幕および画像のうちの少なくとも1つを含み、かつ、前記第1のコンテンツと共に表示される第2のコンテンツを受信し、
TTML(Timed Text Markup Language)で記述されたスケールファクタが受信されたか否かを判定し、
スケールファクタが受信されたと判定された場合、前記スケールファクタを用いて、前記第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第1の変換コンテンツに変換し、
スケールファクタが受信されていないと判定された場合、前記受信装置に格納されているデフォルト値を用いて、前記第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第2の変換コンテンツに変換する、
受信方法。 - 受信装置であって、
HDR(High Dynamic Range)に適合する第1のコンテンツと、OETF(opto-electrical transfer function)およびEOTF(electro-optical transfer function)のうちの一方を示す、前記第1のコンテンツの特性情報とを受信する第1受信部と、
SDR(Standard Dynamic Range)に適合し、かつ、字幕および画像のうちの少なくとも1つを含み、かつ、前記第1のコンテンツと共に表示される第2のコンテンツを受信する第2受信部と、
TTML(Timed Text Markup Language)で記述されたスケールファクタが受信されたか否かを判定する判定部と、
スケールファクタが受信されたと判定された場合、前記スケールファクタを用いて、前記第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第1の変換コンテンツに変換し、
スケールファクタが受信されていないと判定された場合、前記受信装置に格納されているデフォルト値を用いて、前記第2のコンテンツを、HDRに適合する第2の変換コンテンツに変換する変換部と、
を備える受信装置。 - 送信装置から受信装置にコンテンツを送信する送信方法であって、
HDR(High Dynamic Range)に適合する第1のコンテンツと、OETF(opto-electrical transfer function)およびEOTF(electro-optical transfer function)のうちの一方を示す、前記第1のコンテンツの特性情報とを、前記送信装置から前記受信装置に送信し、
SDR(Standard Dynamic Range)に適合し、かつ、字幕および画像のうちの少なくとも1つを含み、かつ、前記第1のコンテンツと共に前記受信装置のディスプレイに表示される第2のコンテンツを、前記送信装置から前記受信装置に送信し、
前記受信装置において、スケールファクタを用いて、前記第2のコンテンツが、HDRに適合する第1の変換コンテンツに変換されるように、前記スケールファクタが前記送信装置から前記受信装置に送信されるべきか否かを判定し、
前記スケールファクタが送信されるべきと判定されると、TTML(Timed Text Markup Language)で記述された前記スケールファクタを、前記送信装置から前記受信装置に送信し、前記スケールファクタが送信されるべきでないと判定されると、前記受信装置において、前記受信装置に格納されているデフォルト値を用いて、前記第2のコンテンツが、HDRに適合する第2の変換コンテンツに変換される、
