Claims (31)
- 高エネルギー又は高電圧充電型リチウム電池用のポリイミド被覆セパレータであって、
微細多孔性ポリマー層、膜又はフィルムと、
前記微細多孔性ポリマー層の少なくとも1つの面上にポリイミドコーティング又は層と、
を備える、ポリイミド被覆セパレータ。 - 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、耐酸化性を提供し、樹枝状結晶成長を阻止し、寸法安定性を加え、収縮量を減少させ、高温性能(HTMI機能)を加え、200℃より高温での電気的短絡を防止する、及び/又はこれらと同種のものに適合する、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記微細多孔性ポリマー層は、液体電解質を保持し、イオンを流し、及び/又は熱的暴走時のセル又は電池のアノードとカソードの間のイオン流を阻止する(シャットダウン機能)ように適合する、請求項1又は2に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、多孔性、微細多孔性、メソ多孔性、マクロ多孔性及び/又はナノ多孔性である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、少なくともポリイミド及び可塑剤、細孔形成剤、及び/又は粒子の少なくとも1つからなるコーティング配合物から可塑剤、細孔形成剤、及び/又は粒子を除去することにより細孔化される、請求項4に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、少なくともポリイミド及び粒子からなるコーティング配合物から粒子を除去することにより細孔化される、請求項5に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記粒子は、シリカ、炭酸カルシウム、塩化ナトリウム、カオリン、硫酸バリウム、SiO2、Al2O3、CaCO3、TiO2、SiS2、SiPO4、塩、NaCl、及び/又はその混合物又はそのブレンドからなる群から選択される、請求項5又は6に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記粒子は、1つ又は複数の溶媒により除去される、請求項5~7のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記1つ又は複数の溶媒は、水、オイル、炭化水素、エステル、エーテル、アルコール、フレオン、N,N-メチルピロリジノン(NMP)、γ-ブチロラクトン、式R1R2N-SO2-NR3R4のスルファミドであって、式中R1,R2,R3及びR4は、1~6個の炭素原子を有するアルキル及び/又は1~6個の炭素原子を有するオキシアルキルである、スルファミド、及び/又はそのブレンド又はその組み合わせである、請求項8に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記粒子は、溶媒溶解性粒子である、請求項5~7のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、少なくともポリイミド及び可塑剤からなるコーティング配合物から可塑剤を除去することにより細孔化される、請求項5に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、少なくともポリイミド及び細孔形成剤からなるコーティング配合物から細孔形成剤を除去することにより細孔化される、請求項5に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、他のポリマー、添加剤、充填剤、及び/又は同種のものを含んでもよい、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層の前記ポリイミドは、ポリイミド、コポリイミド、可溶性ポリイミド、溶媒可溶性ポリイミド、水溶性ポリイミド、可溶性コポリイミド、溶媒可溶性コポリイミド、水溶性コポリイミド、及びその組み合わせ、その混合物又はそのブレンドである、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層の前記ポリイミドは、コポリイミドである、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、コポリイミドコーティング又は層である、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、ポリアミド-イミド又はフッ素化ポリイミドコーティング又は層である、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記粒子は、除去される前には前記ポリイミド及び粒子の混合物の20重量%~80重量%含まれている、請求項5~10のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記微細多孔性ポリマー層は、ポリオレフィン系膜である、請求項1~18のいずれか1項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系膜は、ポリプロピレン及び/又はポリエチレン膜である、請求項19に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系膜は、20~80%の範囲の多孔率を有し、0.02~1.0μmの範囲の平均空孔サイズを有し、5~300秒の範囲のガーレー(Gurley)数を有する、請求項19に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記粒子は、0.001~10μmの範囲の平均粒子径を有する、請求項5、6又は7に記載のセパレータ。
- アノード、カソード、前記アノード及び前記カソードの間に配置された請求項1~22のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータと、
前記セパレータを介して前記アノード及び前記カソードとイオン伝達する電解質と、
を備える、高エネルギー又は高電圧充電型リチウム電池。 - リチウム金属、あるいはリチウム合金、あるいはリチウム金属及び/又はリチウム合金及び別の物質の混合物を含有するアノード、カソード、前記アノード及び前記カソードの間に配置された請求項1~23のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータと、
前記セパレータを介して前記アノード及び前記カソードとイオン伝達する電解質と、
を備える、高エネルギー充電型リチウム電池。 - 高エネルギー又は高電圧充電型リチウム電池、電池、セル、一次電池、二次電池、キャパシター、燃料電池、織物、フィルター、及び/又は複合物用に適合した、及び/又は他の用途、装置、及び/又は同種のものの層又は構成要素として適合した、ポリイミド被覆膜であって、
微細多孔性ベース層、膜又はフィルムと、

- 前記ポリイミドコーティング又は層は、接着剤又は粘着性コーティングなどの別のコーティング又は層により少なくとも部分的に覆われている、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記セパレータはさらに、接着剤又は粘着性コーティングなどの別のコーティング又は層を少なくともその1つの面に備える、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリイミドコーティング及び/又は接着剤又は粘着性コーティングは、PVDF又はPVDF共重合体を含有する又は含む、請求項29及び30のいずれか一項に記載のセパレータ。
