携帯型ジャンプスタート装置10は、12Vでの又は24Vでの高負荷向けの車両又は一部の機器のいずれをもジャンプスタートさせ得るという二重の目的のLiイオンジャンプスタータとして構成することができる。軽量かつ携帯型のユニットは、12V又は24Vでのジャンプスタートモードどうしの間にわたってのスイッチングのために、又は、12V又は24Vでの動作モードどうしの間にわたってのスイッチングのために、制御ノブ18a付きの手動回転制御スイッチ18を使用する。本発明による任意の上述した携帯型ジャンプスタート装置には、図51~図53に示すように、電気光学位置検出システム300を設けることができる。
バッテリジャンプスタート装置310(図26~図31)には、図54に示すように、車両バッテリがジャンプ充電された後の逆充電から保護するように構成された、例えば逆充電ダイオードモジュール348という形態の、デュアルダイオードバッテリブリッジを設けることができる。
バッテリジャンプスタート装置10、110、及び310は、車両及び他のシステム機能のジャンプスタートのために使用される2つの12Vリチウムバッテリを使用している。これらの2つの個々のバッテリは、オペレータが12V車両をジャンプスタートさせるか又は24V車両をジャンプスタートさせるかに応じて、直列又は並列のどちらでも使用される。

- 充電式バッテリジャンプスタート装置であって、
カバーと、
前記カバーの内部に配置された電源と、
前記カバー上に取り付けられたインターフェースと、
前記インターフェース上における異なる位置に配置された少なくとも2つのバックライトであり、前記電源によって選択的に給電される少なくとも2つのバックライトと、
前記インターフェース上に取り付けられた電気制御スイッチであり、前記インターフェース上における異なる位置どうしの間にわたって回転可能とされた電気制御スイッチと、
前記電気制御スイッチ上に取り付けられた制御ノブであり、前記インターフェース上における異なる位置どうしの間にわたって回転可能とされ、さらに透光ウィンドウを有した制御ノブと、
を含み、
