Abstract

背景技術
図1は、本発明を理解するために有用である、GB 2 486 343に開示されているような電気外科用装置400の概略図を示す。この装置は、RFチャネル及びマイクロ波チャネルを含む。RFチャネルは、生体組織の治療(例えば、切断または乾燥)に適した電力レベルでRF周波数電磁信号を生成及び制御するためのコンポーネントを含む。マイクロ波チャネルは、生体組織の治療(例えば、凝固またはアブレーション)に適した電力レベルでマイクロ波周波数電磁信号を生成及び制御するためのコンポーネントを含む。
本発明は、上述の電気外科用発生器と統合することができるエレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットを提供する。本明細書では、「エレクトロポレーション波形」という用語は、1つまたは複数の非常に短い高電圧エネルギーパルスを意味するために使用される。

Claims (15)
- 電気外科用発生器であって、
無線周波数(RF)またはマイクロ波エネルギーを生成する電磁信号供給ユニットと、
前記RFまたは前記マイクロ波エネルギーをその遠位端から送達するプローブに接続可能であるように構成された出力ポートと、
前記RFまたは前記マイクロ波エネルギーを前記出力ポートに伝送するフィード構造と、
生体組織の可逆的または不可逆的エレクトロポレーション(IRE)を引き起こすエレクトロポレーション波形を有するエネルギーを生成するように構成されたエレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットと
を含み、
前記エレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットが前記フィード構造に接続され、前記プローブへ送達するために、前記エレクトロポレーション波形を前記出力ポートに伝送し、
前記フィード構造が、前記エレクトロポレーション波形及び前記RFまたはマイクロ波エネルギーを前記出力ポートに伝送するための共通の信号経路を含む、前記電気外科用発生器。 - 前記電磁信号供給ユニットが、
第1の周波数を有するRF電磁(EM)放射を生成する無線周波数(RF)信号発生器と、
前記第1の周波数より高い第2の周波数を有するマイクロ波EM放射を生成するマイクロ波信号発生器と
を含み、
前記フィード構造が、前記出力ポートを前記RF信号発生器に接続するRFチャネルと、前記出力ポートを前記マイクロ波信号発生器に接続するマイクロ波チャネルとを含み、
前記RFチャネル及び前記マイクロ波チャネルは、前記RF信号発生器と前記マイクロ波信号発生器から各々物理的に分離した信号経路を含み、
前記フィード構造は、前記RFチャネルから前記RF・EM放射を受信するように接続された第1の入力と、前記マイクロ波チャネルから前記マイクロ波EM放射を受信するように接続された第2の入力と、前記RF・EM放射と前記マイクロ波EM放射を前記共通の信号経路に送信するために前記第1の入力及び前記第2の入力と通信する出力とを有する結合回路を含む、請求項1に記載の電気外科用発生器。 - 前記エレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットが、前記RFチャネルを介して前記共通の信号経路に接続可能である、請求項2に記載の電気外科用発生器。
- 前記RFチャネルに接続されたスイッチを含み、
前記RF信号発生器及び前記エレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットが、前記スイッチによって前記RFチャネルに選択的に接続可能である、請求項3に記載の電気外科用発生器。 - 前記マイクロ波チャネルを前記RF・EM放射から分離するように接続された導波管アイソレータを備える、請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の電気外科用発生器。
- 前記エレクトロポレーション波形供給ユニットが、
DC電源と、
前記DC電源に接続され、DC電力の1つ以上のパルスを前記エレクトロポレーション波形として出力するように構成されたパルス発生器と
を含む、先行請求項のいずれかに記載の電気外科用発生器。 - 前記パルス発生器に接続され、前記パルス発生器に1つ以上のパルストリガ信号を送信するように構成されたパルス信号モジュールを含み、
前記パルス発生器は、パルストリガ信号を受信するとDC電力のパルスを出力するように構成される、請求項6に記載の電気外科用発生器。 - DC電力の各パルスの持続時間が、前記パルストリガ信号によって設定される、請求項7に記載の電気外科用発生器。
- 前記パルス信号モジュールが、DC電力の各パルスの前記持続時間の調整を可能にするように制御可能である、請求項8に記載の電気外科用発生器。
- DC電力の各パルスの前記持続時間が1ns〜10msの範囲にある、請求項8または9に記載の電気外科用発生器。
- 前記DC電源が、
調整可能な電圧源と、
前記調整可能な電圧源の電圧をアップコンバートするためのDC−DCコンバータと
