Conventionally, a vehicle display device for displaying vehicle information has been known. For example, the instrument device, which is a vehicle display device described in Patent Document 1, includes a display board having an opening, a display element visibly arranged through the opening, and a display element arranged behind the display board. A circuit board electrically connected to the circuit board, a conductive printed layer provided along an opening on the rear surface of the display board, and a connecting member for electrically connecting the circuit board and the conductive printed layer are provided.
In the configuration of Patent Document 1, the distance from the conductive printing layer to the display element is short. Therefore, the static electricity carried on the display board may be applied to the display element from the conductive printing layer, which may cause the display element to malfunction.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle display device capable of suppressing the application of static electricity to a display element.
In order to achieve the above object, the vehicle display device according to the present invention is located on the back side of a display board on which an exposed hole is formed, a display element having a display surface exposed through the exposed hole, and the display element. A circuit board electrically connected to the display element and a conductive member connected to the ground terminal of the circuit board are provided, and the display board is formed on the back side of the display board and is formed along the exposed hole. An insulating layer formed on the back side of the conductive layer so as to hide the conductive layer from the outside and a conductive layer having a hole edge portion formed in the manner of the hole and a discharge portion connected to the hole edge portion and facing the conductive member. And.
According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress the application of static electricity to a display element in a vehicle display device.
An embodiment of a vehicle display device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. This vehicle display device is a meter device mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile or a motorcycle and displays vehicle information such as vehicle speed.
As shown in FIG. 1, in the vehicle display device 1, a plurality of analog pointers 71, 72, and 73 rotate with respect to scales and numbers (not shown), so that the vehicle speed, engine speed, residual fuel, and the like are measured. Display information. Further, the vehicle display device 1 displays information different from the pointers 71, 72, 73 by displaying an image on the display surface 10a of the display element 10, for example, the vehicle mileage and the like.
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle display device 1 includes a display element 10, a display board 20, an upper case 40, pointers 71, 72, 73, and a circuit board 30 as shown in FIG. The middle case 45, the lower case 46, and the conductive member 60 are provided as shown in FIG.
In the following, the horizontal direction is defined as the X direction, the vertical direction is defined as the Y direction, and the front and back directions are defined as the Z direction when viewed from a viewer who visually recognizes the vehicle display device 1. The front direction is the direction closer to the viewer, and the back direction is the direction away from the viewer.
As shown in FIG. 2, the lower case 46 is made of resin and is formed in a box shape that opens to the front side. The circuit board 30 and the middle case 45 are housed in the lower case 46. The upper case 40 is attached to the lower case 46 so as to close the opening of the lower case 46.
The upper case 40 is made of resin and has a frame shape that can be attached to the upper end of the lower case 46. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the upper case 40 includes a collar portion 41 surrounding the upper part of the display plate 20 and a lens cover 29.
As shown in FIG. 2, the lens cover 29 is formed of a transparent resin or glass in a plate shape and covers the openings of the lower case 46 and the collar portion 41. The lens cover 29 is located on the front side of the display plate 20 and faces the display plate 20. The lens cover 29 is tilted so as to approach the display plate 20 as it goes downward when viewed from the viewer. Therefore, at the position of the display element 10 located on the lower side in the front view of the vehicle display device 1, the distance between the lens cover 29 and the display element 10 is short, and the static electricity carried by the lens cover 29 is likely to be applied to the display element 10. .. Further, static electricity tends to accumulate in the space surrounded by the flange portion 41 of the upper case 40. Even with this, static electricity is likely to be applied to the display element 10 at the position of the display element 10 located on the outer peripheral side in the front view of the vehicle display device 1.
光源35は、LED(Light Emitting Diode)であり、表示板20及び指針71,72,73を照明する。 As shown in FIG. 3, the circuit board 30 includes a light source 35 and a printed circuit board on which a control unit (not shown) is mounted. As shown in FIG. 2, the display element accommodating portion 45a is formed in a concave shape that opens toward the circuit board 30. The display element accommodating portion 45a supports the display element 10 at both left and right ends of the display element 10. The display element accommodating portion 45a has a penetrating portion 45a1 penetrating toward the circuit board 30 so that the lead terminal 13 of the accommodated display element 10 can be connected to the circuit board 30.
As shown in FIG. 5, the light source accommodating portion 45c has a through hole penetrating the inner case 45 in the Z direction and surrounds the light source 35 mounted on the circuit board 30. The light source accommodating portion 45c guides the light emitted by the light source 35 toward the display plate 20.
As shown in FIG. 3, the shaft accommodating portion 45d has a through hole penetrating the middle case 45 in the Z direction, and surrounds the rotating shaft 75 and the light source 35 of the pointer 71 (see FIG. 1). The rotating shaft 75 penetrates the circuit board 30 and is connected to a motor (not shown) mounted on the back surface of the circuit board 30. When this motor is driven, the pointer 71 shown in FIG. 1 rotates about the rotation shaft 75. The light source 35 accommodated in the shaft accommodating portion 45d lights the pointer 71 by radiating light.
As shown in FIG. 5, the conductive member accommodating portion 45b has a through hole penetrating the inner case 45 in the Z direction, and the conductive member 60 is accommodated. As shown in FIG. 3, the conductive member accommodating portion 45b has a support surface 45b1 that supports the first end portion 61 of the conductive member 60, which will be described later, from below. The ground terminal 65 is housed in the conductive member housing part 45b.
As shown in FIG. 2, the display element 10 has a display surface 10a for displaying information. The display element 10 is housed in the display element accommodating portion 45a of the middle case 45. The display surface 10a forms a rectangle long in the X direction and is located on the front surface of the display element 10.
The display element 10 includes a segment type LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 11 and a backlight 12 that illuminates the LCD 11. The backlight 12 includes a plurality of LEDs and is mounted on the front surface of the circuit board 30. In the LCD 11, the transmission or non-transmission of light from the backlight 12 is switched for each segment. As a result, information is displayed on the display surface 10a of the display element 10.
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the display element 10 includes a plurality of lead terminals 13. The plurality of lead terminals 13 are located on the lower side surface of the display element 10 and are arranged along the X direction. The lead terminal 13 is formed of metal in a substantially L shape. The tip of the lead terminal 13 comes into contact with the circuit board 30. The lead terminal 13 electrically connects the display element 10 and the circuit board 30. Various signals such as control signals sent and received between the display element 10 and the circuit board 30 pass through the lead terminal 13.
As shown in FIG. 2, the display plate 20 is formed in a plate shape and is installed on the surface of the inner case 45.
As shown in FIG. 4, the display plate 20 is formed with an exposed hole 20h for exposing the display surface 10a of the display element 10 and an axial through hole 20i through which the rotating shaft 75 (see FIG. 5) is inserted. ..
The axial through hole 20i has a circular shape and is located above the right side portion of the exposed hole 20h. In addition, in this specification, an exposure means an optical exposure. For example, even if the transparent plate is located in the exposed hole 20h, the display surface 10a is exposed from the exposed hole 20h.
The exposed hole 20h has a substantially rectangular shape that is long in the X direction, and has a size smaller than that of the display surface 10a so as to include the display surface 10a. As shown in FIG. 1, the exposed hole 20h is located on the lower end side of the display plate 20, for example, at the lower left corner of the display plate 20.
As shown in FIG. 2, the display board 20 includes a substrate 22, a conductive layer 21, an insulating layer 25, and a light-shielding layer 28.
The substrate 22 is a translucent substrate made of a resin such as polycarbonate.
The light-shielding layer 28 is formed on the surface of the substrate 22, and is made of, for example, black ink having a light-shielding property. The light-shielding layer 28 is formed on the surface of the substrate 22 over the entire area excluding the transmission portion corresponding to numbers and scales (not shown). The substrate 22 is exposed in this transmissive portion. The display board 20 receives the light from the light source 35 and lights the transmitting portion. The light-shielding layer 28 is formed by printing on the front surface of the substrate 22.
The conductive layer 21 is made of a conductive material, for example, silver or copper, and is formed around the exposed holes 20h on the back surface of the substrate 22. The conductive layer 21 is formed by printing an ink containing a metal paste on the back surface of the substrate 22. The conductive layer 21 discharges static electricity charged on the display plate 20 to the ground terminal 65 described later on the circuit board 30 via the conductive member 60.
As shown in FIG. 4, the conductive layer 21 includes a hole edge portion 21e formed around the exposed hole 20h and a discharge portion 21d extending from the hole edge portion 21e toward the conductive member 60 (see FIG. 5). Be prepared. The hole edge portion 21e includes side portions 21a, 21b, and 21c that surround three sides of the circumference of the exposed hole 20h. The side portion 21a is located corresponding to the right side of the exposed hole 20h. The side portion 21b is located corresponding to the left side of the exposed hole 20h. The side portion 21c is located corresponding to the upper side of the exposed hole 20h, and connects the upper portions of the side portions 21a and 21b. The sides 21a, 21b, and 21c form a substantially U-shape that opens downward. The conductive layer 21 is not formed at a position corresponding to the lower side of the exposed hole 20h, that is, a position facing the lead terminal 13 (see FIG. 5) of the display element 10 in the Z direction.
The discharge portion 21d is located above the side portion 21a so as to be continuous with the side portion 21a. As shown in FIG. 3, the discharge unit 21d is located so as to face the conductive member 60 housed in the conductive member housing unit 45b in the Z direction. The discharge unit 21d is provided at a position where static electricity can be discharged from the conductive member 60.
As shown in FIG. 2, the insulating layer 25 is formed on the back surface of the substrate 22 with an insulating material, for example, black ink. Similar to the light-shielding layer 28, the insulating layer 25 is formed on the surface of the substrate 22 over the entire area except for the transmissive portion corresponding to numbers and scales (not shown). The insulating layer 25 is formed by printing on the back surface of the substrate 22. The insulating layer 25 is laminated on the back side of the conductive layer 21 so as to hide the conductive layer 21 from the outside. Since the conductive layer 21 is hidden from the outside by the insulating layer 25, oxidation or sulfurization can be suppressed.
As shown in FIG. 3, the insulating layer 25 includes an intervening portion 25a located between the discharge portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 and the conductive member 60. The intervening portion 25a hides the discharge portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 from the outside. The thickness of the intervening portion 25a is set so that static electricity can be discharged from the conductive layer 21 to the conductive member 60.
For example, if the thickness of the intervening portion 25a is too thick, it becomes difficult for static electricity to be discharged from the conductive layer 21 to the conductive member 60. On the other hand, if the thickness of the intervening portion 25a is too thin, the conductive layer 21 is easily exposed to the outside, and the conductive layer 21 may be oxidized or sulfurized. From this point of view, the thickness of the intervening portion 25a is set to, for example, 10 μm to 30 μm, more preferably 20 μm.
As shown in FIG. 3, the conductive member 60 is made of a conductive material such as metal, and is housed in the conductive member accommodating portion 45b of the inner case 45. The conductive member 60 includes a first end portion 61, a second end portion 62, and a connecting portion 63. The first end 61 and the second end 62 extend in the X direction. The connecting portion 63 extends in the Y direction. The first end 61 is connected to the upper end of the connecting portion 63, and the second end 62 is connected to the lower end of the connecting portion 63. The first end portion 61 and the second end portion 62 extend in the direction away from each other in the X direction. The first end portion 61 is installed on the support surface 45b1 of the conductive member accommodating portion 45b, and the surface side is in close contact with the insulating layer 25 of the display plate 20. The connecting portion 63 extends along the side wall of the conductive member accommodating portion 45b. The second end 62 extends along the upper surface of the ground terminal 65 described later on the circuit board 30. The second end 62 contacts the ground terminal 65 described later on the circuit board 30.
As shown in FIG. 3, the circuit board 30 includes a ground terminal 65. The ground terminal 65 is made of, for example, a Z-shaped metal onboard contact as a whole. The ground terminal 65 has elasticity that expands and contracts in the Z direction, and is fixed to the upper surface of the circuit board 30 by soldering.
The static electricity charged on the display plate 20 is discharged in the order of the hole edge portion 21e of the conductive layer 21, the discharge portion 21d, the conductive member 60, and the ground terminal 65. When a weak current due to static electricity flows through the hole edge portion 21e of the conductive layer 21, the insulating layer 25 exists between the hole edge portion 21e and the display surface 10a of the display element 10, so that static electricity may be applied to the display element 10. It is suppressed. Therefore, the malfunction of the display element 10 is suppressed.
(effect)
According to the embodiment described above, the following effects are obtained.
(1) The vehicle display device 1 includes a display board 20 on which an exposed hole 20h is formed, a display element 10 having a display surface 10a exposed through the exposed hole 20h, and a back side of the display element 10 opposite to the display surface 10a. The circuit board 30 is located in the above and is electrically connected to the display element 10, and the conductive member 60 is connected to the ground terminal 65 of the circuit board 30. The display plate 20 has a hole edge portion 21e formed along the peripheral edge of the exposed hole 20h, and a discharge portion 21d that is connected to the hole edge portion 21e and faces the conductive member 60 at a distance capable of discharging static electricity. A conductive layer 21 formed on the back side of the display plate 20 and an insulating layer 25 formed on the back side of the conductive layer 21 so as to hide the conductive layer 21 from the outside are provided.
According to this configuration, the insulating layer 25 suppresses the application of static electricity from the conductive layer 21 to the display element 10. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the display element 10 from malfunctioning due to static electricity.
(2) The display element 10 is connected to the circuit board 30 and includes a plurality of lead terminals 13 located opposite to the lower side, which is one side of the periphery of the exposed hole 20h. The hole edge portion 21e of the conductive layer 21 is formed along the right side, the left side, and the upper side, which are other sides other than one side of the periphery of the exposed hole 20h.
According to this configuration, the conductive layer 21 is not formed at a position facing the plurality of lead terminals 13. Therefore, the static electricity charged on the display board 20 is suppressed from being discharged from the conductive layer 21 to the lead terminal 13. As a result, noise is suppressed from being superimposed on the signals transmitted and received between the display element 10 and the circuit board 30.
(3) The insulating layer 25 is located between the discharging portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 and the conductive member 60 so as to come into contact with the conductive member 60, and the static electricity carried by the display plate 20 can be discharged from the conductive layer 21 to the conductive member 60. An intervening portion 25a set to a certain thickness is provided.
According to this configuration, since the intervening portion 25a hides the discharge portion 21d of the conductive layer 21, the discharge portion 21d is suppressed from being oxidized or sulfurized.
Further, the static electricity carried on the display plate 20 is discharged from the discharge portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 to the conductive member 60 via the intervening portion 25a. Therefore, even if the intervening portion 25a exists between the discharging portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 and the conductive member 60, it is difficult to inhibit the discharge of static electricity.
(4) The vehicle display device 1 is provided with a lens cover 29 which is located on the front side of the display board 20, is inclined so as to approach the display board 20 as it goes downward, and faces the display board 20. The exposed hole 20h is located on the lower side of the display plate 20 and has a rectangular shape.
According to this configuration, since the distance between the display element 10 and the lens cover 29 is short, static electricity charged on the lens cover 29 is likely to be applied to the display element 10. Therefore, it is particularly beneficial to discharge static electricity to the outside through the conductive layer 21.
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and drawings. Changes (including deletion of components) can be made as appropriate without changing the gist of the present invention. An example of the modification will be described below.
(Modification example)
A part of the conductive layer 21 in the above embodiment is exposed on the surface of the display plate 20, whereby a part of the conductive layer 21 may be used as a decorative portion.
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6, the conductive layer 21 includes an extension portion 21f in addition to the side portions 21a, 21b, 21c. The extension portion 21f is formed on the upper side of the side portion 21c so as to be connected to the side portion 21c. The extension portion 21f is formed in an arc shape along the rotation direction of the pointer 71 shown in FIG. As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the light-shielding layer 28 is formed with decorative holes 28i and 28g that expose a part of the conductive layer 21 so as to be visible from the front side. The decorative hole 28i extends along the side portion 21c. The decorative hole 28i has a pointed shape toward the right side. The decorative hole 28g is formed in an arc shape along the rotation direction of the pointer 71 shown in FIG. The decorative hole 28g is formed so as to be included in the extension portion 21f. In this example, the decorative holes 28i and 28g are formed independently. Not limited to this example, the lower end of the decoration hole 28g may be connected to the decoration hole 28i.
A metallic design can be realized by exposing a part of the conductive layer 21 from the decorative holes 28i and 28g. Further, the area of the conductive layer 21 is increased by the extension portion 21f. As a result, a wide range of static electricity on the display board 20 is discharged to the outside.
The number and shape of the decorative holes 28i and 28g can be changed as appropriate. For example, the decorative holes may have a shape corresponding to numbers and scales.
In the above embodiment, the display element 10 includes the LCD 11 and the backlight 12, but the display element 10 is not limited to this, and may be a self-luminous display element such as an organic EL (Electro-Luminescence).
In the above embodiment, the hole edge portion 21e has a substantially U-shape surrounding the three sides around the exposed hole 20h, but is not limited to this, and has a rectangular shape surrounding the entire circumference of the exposed hole 20h. You may be.
In the above embodiment, the intervening portion 25a of the insulating layer 25 is formed of an insulating material, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the insulating layer 25 may be formed of a conductive material.
Further, the intervening portion 25a may be omitted, and the discharging portion 21d of the conductive layer 21 may be exposed to the outside. In this case, the discharge portion 21d and the conductive member 60 may be in direct contact with each other, or even if a double-sided adhesive tape formed of a conductive material or an insulating material is provided between the discharge portion 21d and the conductive member 60. Good. When the double-sided adhesive tape is made of an insulating material, the thickness of the double-sided adhesive tape is set so that static electricity can be discharged from the conductive layer 21 to the conductive member 60.
In the above embodiment, the exposed holes 20h for exposing the display surface 10a are provided at the corners of the display plate 20, but the position of the exposed holes 20h is not limited to this. For example, the display surface 10a and the exposed hole 20h may be located below the pointer 72 or the pointer 73.
In the above embodiment, the insulating layer 25 is formed over the entire back surface of the substrate 22, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the insulating layer 25 may be formed only in the region corresponding to the conductive layer 21.
