(Measurement of DPPH radical scavenging activity)
The test substance solution, 0.1 mM DPPH and 100% ethanol were mixed at the ratios shown in Table 1 and stirred by inversion mixing. After incubating for 20 minutes at room temperature, 200 μL was transferred to a 96-well plate. The absorbance at 516 nm was measured with a plate reader, and the DPPH radical scavenging activity (%) was calculated by the following formula.
The DPPH radical scavenging activity in the control was set to 100.
DPPH radical scavenging activity (%)
= (Test solution test − Test solution blank ) / (Control test − Control blank ) × 100
(In the formula, test solution test : absorbance of test solution (test) Test solution blank : absorbance control of test solution (blank) test: absorbance control of control (test) blank : absorbance of control (blank))
(Measurement result)
The measurement results of the DPPH radical scavenging activity when the DPPH radical scavenging activity rate of the pine bark is 100 are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. A positive value means that the DPPH radical scavenging activity is higher than that of the control, and a negative value means that the DPPH radical scavenging activity is lower than that of the control. When the herbs were added alone, some DPPH radical scavenging activity was observed, but when ceramide and selenium were added alone, no DPPH radical scavenging activity was observed. On the other hand, when pine bark was combined with each component of herbs, ceramides and selenium, the DPPH radical scavenging activity was synergistically improved.
From the above, it was clarified that the antioxidant action is dramatically improved by combining the pine bark with the herbs, ceramides and selenium materials. Therefore, the composition of the present invention is extremely useful as a cosmetological composition having an antioxidant effect.
