Description
Ps/Pc≦0.5
の関係を満たすことが好ましい。
その焼結時に摺動層3の銅合金4の裏金層2の接合表面と接する付近には、裏金層2に含まれる成分が拡散することがあるが、この場合も本発明の範囲である。
図2に示す断面組織では、裏金層2は、空孔含有領域5(閉空孔51を除く)と主領域とで、フェライト相6とパーライト7の体積割合がほぼ同じになっている。
裏金層2の接合表面21付近への銅合金4のNi成分およびP成分の拡散は、摺動部材の摺動面31に垂直方向の断面組織を複数箇所(例えば5箇所)、EPMA(電子線マイクロアナライザ)を用いて成分測定を行うことにより確認できる。
後述する焼結時に裏金層2の摺動層3との界面となる接合表面21付近(空孔含有領域5の付近)には、銅合金のNi成分およびP成分以外に、Cu成分、Sn成分、または上記選択成分が拡散することがあるが、この場合も本発明の範囲である。
なお、閉空孔51の最大径が、空孔含有領域5の厚さT1よりも小さくなることは明らかである。
摺動面31に垂直な断面視にて、低パーライト領域23の厚さT2(接合表面21からの厚さ)は、空孔含有領域5の厚さT1に対して1.1〜1.5倍(T2/T1=1.1〜1.5)とすることが好ましい。
しかし、摺動層3との界面となる裏金層2の接合表面21の空孔含有領域5は、組織中のパーライト7の体積割合が、裏金層2の中央部における組織中のパーライト7の体積割合に対して50%以上少なくなっている。フェライト相6は、パーライト7に比較して銅合金との弾性変形差が小さいため、摺動部材に外力が加わった場合、摺動層3の銅合金4と裏金層2の空孔含有領域5との界面での弾性変形量の差が小さく、その界面でのせん断が起き難くなり、摺動層3の銅合金4と裏金層2との接合をさらに強くすることができる。
他方、裏金層2に必要な強度は、裏金層2のうちの低パーライト領域23を除き、通常の量のパーライトを有する亜共析鋼の組織であるので、強度が高い。このため、摺動部材1は、軸受ハウジングへの装着に伴う周方向応力や軸受装置の運転時に摺動部材に加わる周方向力による塑性変形が起き難い。
上記回復処理において、鋼板には回復現象が起こる。回復現象とは、鋼板が、再結晶温度未満の温度に加熱されることで、1次圧延(冷間加工)によりFe原子配列に導入された結晶歪(原子空孔)の一部が、鋼板の表面(接合表面)に移動(拡散)し、消滅する現象である。
2次焼結工程の昇温中のA1変態点(727℃)に達する前に、圧延部材の裏金層(鋼板)は、内部に比べて活性な状態にある銅合金層との界面となる接合表面付近が先に再結晶現象が起こる。このため、A1変態点に達する直前は、裏金層の接合表面付近と内部とで組織中のフェライト相とパーライトの割合は変わらないが、フェライト相の結晶粒は、表面付近が内部に比べて大きくなる。
組織中のフェライト相は、炭素原子をほとんど固溶しない(最大で約0.02質量%)ため、裏金層の表面付近のオーステナイト相はパーライトに含まれていた炭素原子を固溶することになるが、その量は内部よりも少ない(体積)。そのために、裏金層の表面付近と内部のオーステナイト相では、炭素の濃度差が発生する。この濃度差をなくすように表面付近のオーステナイト相含まれる炭素原子が内部のオーステナイト相へ拡散し、表面付近の組織中に含まれる炭素の量は、内部の組織中に含まれる炭素の量よりも少なくなる。
(i)銅合金層との界面となる接合表面付近の組織中に含まれる炭素量は、内部の組織中に含まれる炭素量よりも少なかったこと、及び、
(ii)昇温中の表面付近と内部での組織中に残るフェライト相の体積割合が違うこと
により、冷却後、表面付近の組織中のパーライトの体積割合は、内部の組織中パーライトの体積割合よりも少なくなったと考えられる。
Claims (7)
- 背面および接合表面を有する裏金層と、
前記裏金層の前記接合表面上に設けられた銅合金からなる、摺動面を有する摺動層と
を備える摺動部材であって、
銅合金の組成は、0.5〜12質量%のSn、0.5〜15質量%のNi、0.06〜0.2質量%のPを含み、残部がCu及び不可避不純物からなり、
前記裏金層は、0.07〜0.35質量%の炭素を含有する亜共析鋼からなり、フェライト相およびパーライトからなる組織を有し、
前記裏金層は、前記接合表面から内部に向かって延在する空孔含有領域を有し、
前記摺動面に垂直な断面視にて、前記空孔含有領域には前記接合表面に開口しない複数の閉空孔が存在し、該閉空孔の平均径は5〜15μmであり、前記空孔含有領域の厚さは10〜60μmであり、
前記空孔含有領域の体積V1に対する前記閉空孔の全体積V2の割合は、V2/V1=0.05〜0.1である、摺動部材。 - 前記摺動面に垂直な断面視にて、前記閉空孔と前記接合表面との平均離間距離は5〜15μmである、請求項1に記載された摺動部材。
- 前記摺動面に垂直な断面視にて、隣接する前記閉空孔どうしの前記接合表面に平行方向の平均離間距離は5〜15μmである、請求項1または請求項2に記載された摺動部材。
- 前記摺動面に垂直な断面視にて、前記閉空孔の平均アスペクト比は2.5以下である、請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか1項に記載された摺動部材。
- 前記裏金層の厚さ方向中央部における組織中のパーライトの体積割合Pcと、前記空孔含有領域におけるパーライトの体積割合Psが
Ps/Pc≦0.5
の関係を満たす、請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか1項に記載された摺動部材。 - 前記裏金層のうち前記空孔含有領域を除く領域の組成は、0.07〜0.35質量%のC、0.4質量%以下のSi、1質量%以下のMn、0.04質量%以下のP、0.05質量%以下のSを含み、残部がFe及び不可避不純物である、請求項1から請求項5までのいずれか1項に記載された摺動部材。
- 前記銅合金は、0.01〜10質量%のFe、0.01〜5質量%のAl、0.01〜5質量%のSi、0.1〜5質量%のMn、0.1〜30質量%のZn、0.1〜5質量%のSb、0.1〜5質量%のIn、0.1〜5質量%のAg、0.5〜25質量%のPb、0.5〜20質量%のBiのうちから選ばれる1種以上をさらに含む、請求項1から請求項6までのいずれか1項に記載された摺動部材。
