Abstract
Description
吸入モジュールの構成を説明する。図2に示すように、吸入モジュール10は、燃料タンク12の上壁部13に装着されるいわゆる上付けタイプのものである。燃料タンク12は、上壁部13及び底壁部14を有する中空状の樹脂製の容器である。上壁部13には、丸孔状の開口孔13aが形成されている。
ポンプモジュールにおけるジェットポンプの作動により、燃料タンク12の第2貯留部の燃料が、センダゲージアダプタ18の燃料吸入部31の凹部43と内周溝47とによる開口部を通じて燃料吸入通路41内に吸入される。その燃料は、接続管部37から燃料配管55を介して第1貯留部に移送される。また、スプリング53の弾性により、センダゲージアダプタ18が燃料タンク12の底壁部14に押し付けられている。このため、燃料タンク12が温度変化等により高さ方向(上下方向)に伸縮変形しても、底壁部14と座部39との当接状態が維持される。
センダゲージアダプタ18によると、アダプタ本体27に設けた座部39によって、燃料タンク12の底壁部14に対する凸部45の当接を回避することができる。これにより、吸口部38の凸部45の下面45aの角部による燃料タンク12の底壁部14の傷付きを抑制することができる。
本発明は実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明を逸脱しない範囲における変更が可能である。例えば、本発明の燃料吸入口部材は、車両に限らず、船舶、産業機械等、種々の燃料供給装置に適用してもよい。また、本発明の燃料吸入口部材は、吸入モジュール10に限らず、ポンプモジュールに用いてもよい。また、センダゲージアダプタ18においてゲージ取付部29は省略してもよい。また、座部39は、周方向に断続的に形成してもよい。また、支持部(座部39)は、吸口部38に限らず、基部28に設けてもよい。

Claims (2)
- 燃料タンクの底壁部に弾性部材によって押し付けられる吸入口部材本体を備える燃料吸入口部材であって、
前記吸入口部材本体は、下面に開口する中空筒状の吸口部を有しており、
前記吸口部の下端部には、該吸口部内外を連通する凹部と、多角形形状の下面を有する凸部と、が周方向に交互に形成されており、
前記吸入口部材本体には、前記凸部の下面よりも下方位置において前記燃料タンクの底壁部に面接触状に当接する支持部が設けられている、燃料吸入口部材。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料吸入口部材であって、
前記支持部は、前記吸口部を取り囲む環状に形成されている、燃料吸入口部材。
