Abstract

に骨髄内固定装置である中空ロッド14を含む。このような骨髄内固定装置は従来、骨空洞内、特に、大腿骨や脛骨のような長い骨への配置で知られ、破断4のある骨2の適切な再編に役立っている。従来の骨髄内ロッドのように、図1に示される中空ロッド14は、止めねじのようなねじ12を用いて適所に保持されてもよい。好ましくは、ロッドは、治療中に破断を安定させるのに十分な強さを与える大きさ及び形状に製造される。ロッドは、磁場が通過できる材料から製造される。なぜなら、その材料自体が磁場の通過を可能にするか、又はロッドには磁場が通過する部分が設けられているからである。
。例えば、人工股関節置換手術中、大腿部の一部が取り除かれ、インプラントに置き換えられる。このインプラントは、ステムに付いている新しい球と、ソケットを含む協働要素とを有している。場放射器及び信号発生器は、インプラントの球又はシャフトによって支持されてもよい。一実施の形態において、球及び/又はシャフトは中空であってもよく、場放射器及び信号発生器が中空の球又はシャフト内に配置される。当業者は代替の同様の実施の形態が本開示の教示を用いて達成されることを理解するだろう。
は、例えば使用者が眠っているとき装置を充電できる装着型装置に設けられることを含む、あらゆる既知の形態をとってもよい。
。図14は、その例である。そこでは、永久磁石716が既知の強さ及び形状を有する磁場を発生させる。磁石716は軸790に設けられ、圧電アクチュエータのような回転アクチュエータ792によって回転可能である。磁石を回転させることによって、磁場が調節され、その磁場の調節は折れた骨又は創傷の治療のために最適化される。したがって、アクチュエータ/永久磁石の組み合わせは、制御可能な磁場発生器を形成する。例示されないが、アクチュエータ/永久磁石場発生器は、固定装置、又は整形外科用板材、髄内ロッド、置換インプラント等の他の埋め込み可能な担体に支持される。
Claims (20)
- 整形外科用内部固定装置と、
上記固定装置によって支持される磁場放射器と、
を備えた整形外科用装置。 - 上記磁場放射器によって放射された磁場を調節する電源をさらに備えた請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記電源が、上記固定装置及び上記磁場放射器とともに人体内に埋め込まれる電池である請求項2の整形外科用装置。
- 上記電源は、上記電磁場放射器を充電させる場を発生させる場発生器である請求項2の整形外科用装置。
- 上記場発生器によって発生した上記場は、上記磁場放射器によって発生した上記場とは異なる請求項4の整形外科用装置。
- 上記固定装置は中空ロッドを備え、上記磁場放射器は上記中空ロッド内に配置される請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記固定装置が板材である請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記板材は、上記磁場放射器を収容するよう構成された切り欠きを備える請求項7の整形外科用装置。
- 上記磁場放射器は、上記板材に取り付けられる請求項7の整形外科用装置。
- 上記固定装置は鉄を含まない請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記固定装置はねじであり、上記磁場発生器は、上記ねじの頭部に近接して配置された電磁場放射器である請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記磁場放射器は電磁コイルを備える請求項1の整形外科用装置。
- 上記電磁コイルによって放射された上記電磁場を制御するコントローラをさらに備える請求項12の整形外科用装置。
- 整形外科用固定装置を患者に設置し、
上記装置によって支持された電磁場放射器を上記患者の内部に設置し、
上記電磁場放射器を起動し、電磁場を上記損傷に近接して放射することを含む、損傷を治療する方法。 - 上記電磁場放射器を起動する工程は、上記放射器を制御し所定の電磁場療法を行うことを含む、請求項14の方法。
- 上記療法は、一又は複数の所定の周波数及び継続期間を含む請求項15の方法。
- 上記固定装置を患者の骨に固定することを更に含む請求項14の方法。
- 上記電磁場放射器に電源を用いて電力供給することを更に含む請求項14の方法。
- 上記電源は、上記固定装置と一緒に上記患者に設置される請求項18の方法。
- 骨折箇所を固定し治療を促進する装置であって、
穴を有する整形外科用骨髄内固定装置と、
上記整形外科用固定装置の上記穴に配置された電磁場放射器と、
上記整形外科用固定装置の上記穴に配置され、上記電磁場放射器と連携して上記電磁場放射器によって放射される場を制御するコントローラと、
上記コントローラ及び上記電磁場放射器に電力を供給する電源とを備える装置。
