Abstract
【解決手段】主軸153を回転可能に支持する軸受14を保護する主軸軸受保護装置1であって、軸受14よりも軸方向外側に設けられ且つ主軸153とともに回転する回転翼151を有する回転部15と、回転翼151と軸受14の間に冷媒又は潤滑剤を供給する供給部12と、軸受14の異常を検出する検出部13と、検出部13が軸受14の異常を検出した場合に、供給部12による冷媒又は潤滑剤の供給と主軸153の回転数を制御する制御部11と、を備える主軸軸受保護装置1である。

Description
また、安価でメンテナンス性の高い非接触シール付きグリース潤滑軸受を使用することはできなかった。なぜなら、通常の非接触シール付き軸受に外部から冷媒又は潤滑剤を供給しようとすると、軸受シールと軸受の隙間が小さく、高圧を必要としたためである。このような場合、高圧を用いて冷媒又は潤滑剤を供給しても、冷媒又は潤滑剤の一部は軸受シールに跳ね返され、軸受内部に至らなかった冷媒又は潤滑剤が、工作機械や電動機の電気部品等に付着し、逆に主軸の寿命を縮めてしまうおそれがあった。
また、オイルシール等の接触式シールでは、工作機械の主軸が高速回転をするため、冷媒又は潤滑剤の流出防止を抑制することができなかった。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る主軸軸受保護装置1の構成を示す図である。
本実施形態に係る主軸軸受保護装置1は、電動機3に設けられ、該電動機3の主軸153を回転可能に支持する軸受14を保護する。この主軸軸受保護装置1は、回転翼151を有する回転部15と、軸受14の異常を検出する検出部13と、冷媒又は潤滑剤を供給する供給部12と、供給部12による冷媒又は潤滑剤の供給及び回転部15の回転数を制御する制御部11と、を備える。
貯蔵部121に貯蔵された冷媒又は潤滑剤は、制御部11によって開放弁122が開放されている際は、該開放弁122を経由して圧縮部123に導入される。圧縮部123は、制御部11によって指定された圧縮率で、供給管124を介して冷媒又は潤滑剤を主軸153近傍に供給する。制御部11が圧縮率を上昇させると、それに応じて主軸153近傍に供給される冷媒又は潤滑剤の供給量が増加し、制御部11が圧縮率を下降させると、それに応じて主軸153近傍に運搬される冷媒又は潤滑剤の供給量は減少する。
ここで、軸受(主軸軸受)14の保護量は、冷媒又は潤滑剤の流量に比例する。また、冷媒又は潤滑剤の最大流量は、圧縮率を一定とした場合、回転翼151の回転数、すなわち主軸153(回転部15)の回転数に比例する。すなわち軸受14の保護量は、モータ回転数に比例する。これを示すのが、図2内の点線で描かれたグラフである。
一方で、軸受14へのダメージ量は、軸受転動体への圧力(遠心力)に比例するため、主軸153(回転部15)の回転数の二乗に比例する。これを示すのが、図2内の実線で描かれたグラフである。
更には、回転翼151が回転することで、上方から下方へ冷媒や潤滑剤の流れが形成され、冷媒や潤滑剤は電気部品に付着することがない。これにより、軸受14内部に冷媒や潤滑剤を効率よく供給することができる。
図4は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る主軸軸受保護装置2の構成を示す図である。
具体的には、図4に示すように回転部25は、工作機械4のハウジング20内の主軸頭256に回転可能に支持されている。回転部25においては、主軸253に対して結合ギア254が一体化されており、これら各々の回転軸は一致する。更に、主軸電動機26側の結合ギア27と、工作機械4側の回転部25に含まれる結合ギア254とが互いに係合することにより、主軸電動機26のロータの回転は、回転部25の回転に伝達される。
また、回転翼251が回転することで、上方から下方へ冷媒の流れが形成され、冷媒は電気部品に付着することがない。これにより、軸受24の内部に冷媒や潤滑剤を効率よく供給することができる。
また、電動機に連結して用いられる工作機械4の主軸253のダメージを最大限防止することが可能となる。

Claims (6)
- 主軸を回転可能に支持する軸受を保護する主軸軸受保護装置であって、
前記軸受よりも軸方向外側に設けられ且つ前記主軸とともに回転する回転翼を有する回転部と、
前記回転翼と前記軸受の間に冷媒又は潤滑剤を供給する供給部と、
前記軸受の異常を検出する検出部と、
前記検出部が前記軸受の異常を検出した場合に、前記供給部による冷媒又は潤滑剤の供給と前記主軸の回転数を制御する制御部と、を備える主軸軸受保護装置。 - 前記検出部は、前記軸受の振動数、前記軸受の温度及び前記軸受から発する音の音量のうち少なくとも1つが、所定の閾値又は所定の変化率を超えて変化した場合に、前記軸受の異常を検出する請求項1に記載の主軸軸受保護装置。
- 前記冷媒又は潤滑剤は、油、水、グリース及び圧縮気体のうち少なくとも1つである請求項1又は2に記載の主軸軸受保護装置。
- 前記回転部は、電動機の電動機ロータを含んで構成される請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の主軸軸受保護装置。
- 前記回転部は、主軸本体の主軸ロータを含んで構成される請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の主軸軸受保護装置。
- 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の主軸軸受保護装置を備える工作機械。
