Abstract
Description
培土基材、肥料、亜リン酸を表1に示す組成及び濃度で配合しミキサーで混合して実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜3の育苗用培土を作製した。なお、わが国では肥料取締法によって、窒素量は「N(元素)」の割合で示すことになっているので、表1における窒素の比率についても、「N(元素)」として示している。
作製した育苗用培土をピンホール付き培土袋に入れ、室内(エアコン20℃度設定)で保管し、製造直後、3ヶ月後、6ヶ月後、9ヶ月後の水素イオン濃度(pH)、電気伝導率(EC)、硝酸態窒素(NO3−N)を下記方法でそれぞれ測定した。測定結果を表2及び表3に示す。
ポリ容器に育苗用培土10gを取り分けた後、純水を100mL添加し、10分間スタラーで撹拌した。5分間静置した後に、pH、ECメーター(堀場製作所社製)を用いて水素イオン濃度(pH)及び電気伝導率(EC)を測定した。
育苗用培土10gを250mLポリ容器に取り分け、抽出溶媒(1N−塩化カリウム溶液)100mLを添加し、往復浸とう機で130往復/分で30分間振とうした後、ろ紙(ADVANTEC 3号 125mm)で自然ろ過した。ブランク(純水)、標準液(NO3−N濃度を20mg/Lに調整した硝酸アンモニウム水溶液)、ろ液(必要に応じて純水で希釈)をそれぞれ1mL分取し、還元試薬液8mLと砂状亜鉛を専用小さじ1添加した。90往復/分で15分間振とう後、直ちに上澄み液1mLを分取した。20分間静置後、純水6mLと発色試薬液1mL添加し撹拌した。10分間静置後、島津製作所社製の「紫外可視分光光度計UVmini−1240」を使用し、波長535nmの吸光度を測定し、培土中の硝酸態窒素(NO3−N)を定量した。
なお、抽出溶媒は塩化カリウム(試薬一級)を純水に溶解し作成した。標準液は硝酸アンモニウム(試薬特級)を純水に溶解し作成した。還元試薬液、砂状亜鉛、発色試薬液は、それぞれ富士平工業社製の「NO3−N還元試薬原液A」、「NO3−N還元試薬B」、「NO3−N発色試薬」を使用した。
亜リン酸を育苗用培土に添加すると作物に対する薬害などの障害が生じると言われているので、亜リン酸添加による薬害の有無を次のようにして確認した。
培土基材、肥料、亜リン酸を表4に示す組成及び濃度で配合しミキサーで混合して実施例4〜9,参考例1の育苗用培土を作製した。作製した育苗用培土を128穴のユープラグトレイ(日泉ポリテック社製)に充填し、ハクサイの種子を播種し、ビニールハウスで育苗した。なお、育苗中の平均地温は15℃、最低地温は10℃、最高地温は25℃であった。
播種後34日目に、苗の最大葉の葉長と葉幅とを測定し葉面積を算出するとともに、根の乾燥重量を各10株ずつ測定し平均値を算出した。結果を表5に示す。また図1に、ハクサイの生育状態を示す写真を示す。
表5及び図1から明らかなように、実施例4〜9の育苗用培土で育苗したハクサイは、亜リン酸を添加しなかった参考例1の育苗用培土で育苗したハクサイと比較して、葉長、葉幅、葉面積、根の乾燥重量のいずれにおいても同等の生育を示した。すなわち、亜リン酸濃度が少なくとも4.93×10−4〜9.85×10−3mol/Lの範囲では苗生育の抑制はまったく見られなかった。
配合比がピートモス:バーミキュライト=50:50(vol%)である培土基材に、肥料、亜リン酸を表6に示す組成及び濃度で配合し混合して実施例10〜18及び比較例4〜8の育苗用培土を作製し、水素イオン濃度(pH)、電気伝導率(EC)、硝酸態窒素(NO3−N)を前記方法でそれぞれ測定した。
さらに、作製した育苗用培土にすでに硝酸化成している育苗用培土を2割混和し(加速試験)、ピンホール付き培土袋に入れ、インキュベーター(30℃度設定)で保管し、2,3,4週間後の水素イオン濃度(pH)、電気伝導率(EC)、硝酸態窒素(NO3−N)を前記方法でそれぞれ測定した。測定結果を表6〜表8に示す。
表7及び表8から明らかなように、実施例10〜15の育苗用培土では硝酸化成が抑制されたが比較例4の育苗用培土では抑制されていないことから、培土保存性の向上のためには亜リン酸濃度は2.46×10−4mol/L以上が望ましい。
硝酸化成が生じ硝酸態窒素比率が上昇した場合の苗への影響を次のようにして確認した。
配合比がピートモス:バーミキュライト=50:50(vol%)である培土基材に、肥料を表9に示す組成及び濃度で配合しミキサーで混合して実施例19〜21の育苗用培土を作製した。作製した育苗用培土を128穴のユープラグトレイ(日泉ポリテック社製)に充填し、トマトの種子を播種し、ビニールハウスで育苗した。なお、育苗中の平均地温は25℃、最低地温は15℃、最高地温は40℃であった。
播種後20日目に、葉色と根の乾燥重量を各5株ずつ測定し平均値を算出した。葉色はコニカミノルタ製葉緑素計SPADを用いて、各株最大葉の中心部分を測定した。結果を表10に示す。
表10から明らかなように、比較例8,9の育苗用培土で育苗したトマトは、実施例19〜21の育苗用培土で育苗したトマトと比較して、葉色、根の乾燥重量が劣った。よって、窒素肥料を構成する全窒素のうちの硝酸態窒素の比率が60%以下では苗質に悪影響はなかったが、87%以上では苗に悪影響生じることが示された。すなわち、育苗用培土で硝酸化成が生じ、硝酸態窒素比率が高くなると苗への悪影響が生じるため、育苗用培土の硝酸化成を抑制することは重要といえる。
配合比がピートモス:バーミキュライト=50:50(vol%)である培土基材に、肥料、亜リン酸、DCSを表11に示す組成及び濃度で配合し混合して実施例22及び比較例10〜11の育苗用培土を作製した。
さらに、作製した育苗用培土にすでに硝酸化成している育苗用培土を1割混和し(加速試験)、ピンホール付き肥料袋に入れ、インキュベーター(30℃度設定)で保管し、15〜60日後の水素イオン濃度(pH)、電気伝導率(EC)、硝酸態窒素(NO3−N)を前記方法でそれぞれ経時的に測定した。測定結果を表12及び表13に示す。
表12及び表13から明らかなように、実施例22の育苗用培土では硝酸化成が抑制されたが、比較例10〜11の育苗用培土では硝酸化成が抑制されなかったことから、亜リン酸には硝酸化成抑制効果があり、その効果がDCSよりも高いといえる。
Claims (3)
- 窒素肥料を構成する全窒素のうち硝酸態窒素の比率が70%以下である肥料と、亜リン酸及び/又は亜リン酸塩とを含有されてなることを特徴とする育苗用培土。
- 前記亜リン酸及び/又は亜リン酸塩の含有量が2.46×10−4mol/L〜9.85×10−3mol/Lの範囲である請求項1に記載の育苗用培土。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の育苗用培土を育苗用容器に充填した後、植物種子を播種し育苗することを特徴とする育苗方法。
