Abstract
Description
本出願は、2013年11月27に提出された米国仮特許出願番号61/909,667号の利益を主張しており、その開示は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれている。

Claims (20)
- 取付けポートおよび骨移植片ポートを有している本体と、
前記本体に対して可動な頂部部材と、
最近位部分と、
前記本体内に少なくとも一部が位置決めされ、挿入器具に連結するように構成されたインサート構造体と、を備えている拡張可能なインプラントにおいて、
前記インサート構造体は、前記挿入器具に対する前記インプラントの前記最近位部分の位置を固定するように構成されていることを特徴とする拡張可能なインプラント。 - 前記本体はポリマーにより構成され、前記インサート構造体は金属材料により構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記本体はPEEKであり、前記インサート構造体がチタン合金、ステンレス鋼合金およびコバルトクロム合金のうちのいずれか1つであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 液圧式に拡張するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記頂部部材および本体の中を通って延在する骨移植片開口部をさらに備えており、
前記骨移植片ポートは、前記骨移植片開口に流体連通していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。 - 前記本体が前記挿入器具に対して回転するのを防止するために、前記挿入器具上にあるタブに連結するように構成され、前記本体内に形成されたトルク抵抗ポートをさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記インサート構造体は、前記挿入器具とねじ込み接続するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記取付けポートは、滑らかな表面を有しており、前記インサート構造体のねじ山付きの開口と同心であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記本体は、前記インサート構造体が中に配置される開口を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 取付けポートおよび骨移植片ポートを有する本体と、
頂部部材と、
底部部材と、
前記底部部材に連結され、挿入器具に連結するように構成される構造的なインサートと、
前記底部部材に連結され、前記拡張可能なインプラントにかかる挿入荷重を分散するように構成された少なくとも1つの支持タブと、を備えている拡張可能なインプラントにおいて、
前記インサート構造体が前記本体と異なる材料により形成されていることを特徴とする拡張可能なインプラント。 - 前記本体はポリマーにより構成され、前記インサート構造体は金属により構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記本体はPEEKであり、
前記インサート構造体は、チタン合金、ステンレス鋼合金およびコバルトクロム合金のうちのいずれか1つであることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。 - 前記拡張可能なインプラントは、液圧式に拡張するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記本体が挿入器具に対して回転するのを防止するために、前記挿入器具上にあるタブに連結するように構成された前記本体内に形成されたトルク抵抗ポートをさらに備えていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記インサート構造体は、挿入器具とのねじ込み接続するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。
- 前記頂部部材、本体および底部部材の中を通って延在する骨移植片開口をさらに備えてり、
前記骨移植片ポートは、前記骨移植片開口と流体連通するように構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の拡張可能なインプラント。 - 頂部部材と本体とを有し、第1の収縮した状態から第2の拡張した状態へと拡張可能である拡張可能なインプラントを用意するステップと、
取付けポートを通り、前記本体とは異なる材料による構成されたインサート構造体の中へと挿入器具を延ばすことによって、前記挿入器具を前記拡張可能なインプラントに連結するステップと、
前記拡張可能なインプラントを切開部を通して挿入するステップと、
前記インプラントを拡張させるステップと、を含むことを特徴とする、拡張可能なインプラントを挿入する方法。 - 骨移植片ポートを通って前記頂部部材、本体および底部部材の中を通って延在する骨移植片開口内に骨移植片を通過させるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張させるステップは、作動液を介して前記本体から離れるように前記頂部部材を拡張させるステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 挿入器具を前記インサート構造体に連結するステップは、前記挿入器具のねじ山付きの端部を、前記インサート構造体内のねじ山付きの開口の中にねじ込むステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。
