Description

本発明は、光学アセンブリと、前記光学アセンブリを有する照明装置とに関し、詳細には、より平らな又はより薄い構造を持つ照明装置に関する。

前記コンテンツを表示する表示装置は、ライトボックス、ショーウィンドウ、ギャラリーショーウィンドウ、模様を備える天井照明、又はあらゆる他のアプリケーションであり得る。表示される前記コンテンツは、ポスター、模様、コマーシャル、ファッションモデル、衣類、展示物などであり得る。

図３を参照すると、ライトボックス１０は、フロントプレート１２と、バックプレート１４とを有し、両方が、照明装置１００のための空間を規定している。フロントプレートは透明であり、一様性を更に最適化するためにフロントプレートの前に拡散器が設けられてもよい。バックプレート１４は、透明であってもよく、又は反射材料が設けられてもよい。透明なバックプレートが用いられる場合、自然光又は周囲光などの、バックプレートの後ろで生成される光ビームが、フロントプレートを含む照明装置全体を突き抜けることができ、最終的には、フロントプレートの前に立っている人によって見られることができ、このことは、日中に、ライトボックスがオフにされる必要がある場合に、エネルギ節約機能を果たすことができる。
図４ａ乃至図４ｃが示しているように、照明装置１００は、１つの光源１１０と、光学アセンブリ１２０とを有する。光学アセンブリ１２０は、互いに同心であり、それによって、光源が配置される共通の中心を共有する複数の光学部品（１２２０、１２２２、１２２４、１２２６、１２２８）を有し、各光学部品は、光源１１０に対して斜めの入射角を持つ部分反射インターフェース（１２２０Ｒ、１２２２Ｒ、１２２４Ｒ、１２２６Ｒ）を持ち、部分反射インターフェースの反射率は、複数の光学部品にわたって、共通の中心からの距離と共に増加する。この実施例においては、光学アセンブリ１２０は、六角形である。それは、互いに対して平行に配設される５つの光学部品を持つ。各光学部品（１２２０、１２２２、１２２４、１２２６及び１２２８）は、実際には、六角形ループである。移行光学部品１２４０は、ＬＥＤ光源１１０の下に設けられ、第１光学部品１２２０によって囲まれ、この実施例においては、移行光学部品１２４０は、円錐形反射器であってもよく、前記円錐形反射器は、全反射を呈してもよく、又は光源からの光の大部分を反射するが、ごく一部を元の光の方向において通過させることを可能にする。
従って、ＬＥＤ光源１１０から発せられた光は、まず、円錐形反射器１２４０の外面に到達する。円錐の外面の傾斜角は、円錐から来る反射光が、第１光学部品１２２０の反射インターフェースに実質的に横方向に入射することができるように、設計される。図４ａ乃至図４ｃによって示されている実施例においては、各反射インターフェースの、光源に対する斜めの入射角は、４５°に設定されており、円錐の外面の傾斜角も、４５°である。実質的に垂直な構成は、移行部品及び第１光学部品の相対位置が他の角度を具備する他の変形例を制限しないが、エネルギを最大限利用することを可能にすることに注意されなければならない。各光学部品がＬＥＤ光源に対して斜めに配設されることから、ＬＥＤ光源から発せられる光は、円錐形反射器１２４０によって、第１光学部品２２０の反射インターフェース（１２２０Ｒ）へ向けられ得る。ＬＥＤ光源が配置される、ライトボックスのフロントプレート及びバックプレートに対して平行な平面があると仮定すると、全ての光学部品が、仮定平面に背を向けるだろう。それ故、反射インターフェースからの反射光の方向は、最終的には、光源１１０から直接発せられる光の方向と実質的に同じになる。
各光学部品の反射インターフェース（１２２０Ｒ、１２２２Ｒ、１２２４Ｒ、１２２６Ｒ）は、部分反射性であり、異なる反射率であって、前記反射率が、ＬＥＤ光源からの距離と共に増加する異なる反射率のために、コーティングされている。下の表が示しているように、異なる光学部品層の反射率は、ＬＥＤ光源からの距離が増加するにつれて、増加している。第１光学部品１２２０の反射率は、0.0857に設定されているが、最後の光学部品１２２８の反射率は、1.000である。相対的により小さい反射率値を持つ光学部品は、同量の入射光から、より少ない反射光を生成するが、より多くの光が、前記光学部品を通過し、次の光学部品に到達することを可能にする。最後の光学部品１２２８に関しては、それによって受け取られる全ての光が、ライトボックスのフロントプレートの方へ反射されなければならず、例えば、その反射率値は、１に設定される。これは、光がそれを通って送られる必要がないことを意味する。
異なる照明効果を得るため、各光学部品の反射インターフェースは、異なる波長において特有の透過率又は反射率を持つ材料でコーティングされてもよく、故に、それに応じて、異なる色が示され得る。

図５は、照明装置の光路を示している。図５の実施例においては、ＬＥＤ光源にコリメーションレンズが設けられてもよく、故に、コリメート平行光ビームが得られ、コリメート平行光ビームは、ここでは円錐形反射器である移行光学部品１２４０に入射する。実際には、移行光学部品１２４０は、それから来る反射光の全て又はほとんどが、横方向に、第１光学部品１２２０へ向けられることができる限り、異なる形状を持つような異なる変形例のものであってもよく、例えば、多角形プリズム又は様々な要件に合うよう不規則な形状であってもよい。
注目すべきは、光学アセンブリ１２０の形状は様々であり得ることである。多角形は、矩形、八角形又は他の形状であり得る。形状は、図６が示しているような円形、又は円形のような形状であってもよい。
図６の実施例においては、光学部品（１２２０乃至１２２８）は、環状形状を持つ部分反射層である。従って、本実施例のライトスポットは、均一な円形光分布を呈する。移行光学部品１２４０は、多角形プリズムのようなものである。上記の原理によって、多角形プリズムは、好ましくは、多角形プリズムの外面から発する反射光の全て又は大部分が、実質的に横方向に、第１光学部品の反射インターフェースへ進むように、設けられる。丸い形状を持つ実施例は、楕円又は円弧などの他の変形例もカバーする。表示領域が、多かれ少なかれ丸い場合、円形実施例が、より適切であり、例えば、ギャラリー又は芸術的な環境においては、表示フレームは、より多くの場合、丸い形状に設計される。
本願の別の利点は、光学アセンブリがモジュール化され、それ故、取付けが、非常に容易であることである。図７が示しているように、矩形の形状を持つ光学モジュールが、アレイを形成するよう互いに係合され、ライトボックスを埋めるように配設される。矩形の照明装置は、それに応じて、矩形のライトスポットを生成する。大きなショーウィンドウなどの所要面積がどんなに大きくする必要があっても、モジュール化光学アセンブリは、常に、要求を満たすことができる。矩形の照明装置は、空間を最大限利用することができる。なぜなら、ほとんどの照明器具のための領域が矩形であるからである。
請求項において、「有する」という用語は、他の要素を除外せず、単数形表記は、複数の存在を除外しない。単に、特定の手段が、相互に異なる従属請求項において引用されているという事実は、これらの手段の組み合わせが有利になるように用いられることができないことを示すものではない。

Claims (12)

  1. 光源と共に用いる光学アセンブリであって、前記光学アセンブリが、互いに同心であり、それによって、前記光源が配置され得る共通の中心を共有する複数の光学部品を有し、各光学部品が、斜めの入射角を持つ部分反射及び部分透過インターフェースを持ち、前記インターフェースの反射率が、前記複数の光学部品にわたって、前記共通の中心からの距離と共に増加し、前記光源と、前記複数の光学部品のうちの第１光学部品との間に、前記光源からの光を前記第１光学部品の前記インターフェースへ向けるための移行光学部品が設けられる光学アセンブリ。
  2. 前記インターフェースが、前記インターフェースからの反射光の方向が、前記光源から直接発せられる光の方向と実質的に同じになるように、斜めに設けられる請求項１に記載の光学アセンブリ。
  3. 前記移行光学部品が、前記移行光学部品の外面から来る反射光が、実質的に横方向に、前記第１光学部品の前記インターフェースに入射するように、設けられる請求項１又は２に記載の光学アセンブリ。
  4. 前記移行光学部品が、円錐形ボディである請求項３に記載の光学アセンブリ。
  5. 前記光学アセンブリが、全体として、少なくとも、同心矩形、多角形又は円形から成るグループから選択される形状をとる請求項３に記載の光学アセンブリ。
  6. 異なる光学部品の前記インターフェースが、異なる波長において異なる光学パラメータを持つ材料でコーティングされる請求項１に記載の光学アセンブリ。
  7. 少なくとも１つの光源と、少なくとも１つの、請求項１乃至６のいずれか一項に記載の光学アセンブリとを有する照明装置であって、前記少なくとも１つの光源が、前記共通の中心に置かれている照明装置。
  8. 前記光源がコリメートレンズを有する請求項７に記載の照明装置。
  9. ２つ以上の光学アセンブリが、アレイを形成するよう互いに係合される請求項７に記載の照明装置。
  10. 請求項７、８又は９のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置を有する、コンテンツを表示するための表示装置であって、前記照明装置を収容するチャンバを一緒に規定するフロントプレート及びバックプレートを更に有する表示装置。
  11. 前記フロントプレート及びバックプレートの両方が透明である、請求項１０に記載の、コンテンツを表示するための表示装置。
  12. 前記バックプレートが、反射性材料でコーティングされる、請求項１０に記載の、コンテンツを表示するための表示装置。
