Abstract
Description
正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電解液と共に電池ケースの内部に密封されており、上端面に第1及び第2電極端子が形成されている電池セルと;
前記電池セルの第2電極端子を露出できるように開口が形成されており、電池セルの上端面に装着される電気絶縁性の装着部材と;
保護回路が形成されており、前記装着部材上に搭載される基板(PCB)と、前記PCBの下面にそれぞれ結合されている接続部材(A)及び接続部材(B)とを含んでおり、接続部材(A)は安全素子を経由して第1電極端子に接続され、接続部材(B)は第2電極端子に結合されており、前記接続部材(B)を露出できる貫通口が前記PCB上に穿孔されている保護回路モジュール(PCM)と;
前記接続部材と保護回路基板が搭載された状態で絶縁性装着部材を覆いながら電池セルの上端部に結合される絶縁性キャップと;
を含んでおり、
前記PCM及び絶縁性キャップの高さの和が3.0mm以下である構造で構成されている。

Claims (15)
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造の電極組立体が電解液と共に電池ケースの内部に密封されており、上端面に第1及び第2電極端子が形成されている電池セルと、
前記電池セルの第2電極端子を露出できるように開口が形成されており、電池セルの上端面に装着される電気絶縁性の装着部材と、
保護回路が形成されており、前記装着部材上に搭載される基板(PCB)と、前記PCBの下面にそれぞれ結合されている接続部材(A)及び接続部材(B)とを含んでおり、接続部材(A)は安全素子を経由して第1電極端子に接続され、接続部材(B)は第2電極端子に結合されており、前記接続部材(B)を露出できる貫通口が前記PCB上に穿孔されている保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、
前記接続部材及び保護回路基板が搭載された状態で絶縁性装着部材を覆いながら電池セルの上端部に結合される絶縁性キャップと、を含んでおり、
前記PCM及び絶縁性キャップの高さの和が3.0mm以下であることを特徴とする、二次電池パック。 - 前記電池ケースは、角形の金属缶であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記第2電極端子は、電池セルの上端面の中央に突出している負極端子であり、前記第1電極端子は、負極端子を除いて電池セルの上端面に形成されている正極端子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材は、表面実装技術(SMT)方式によりPCBの下面に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記接続部材(B)は、PCBの貫通口の下面に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記安全素子はPTC素子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記PTC素子は、PTC本体と、前記PTC本体の上面に結合されているPCM結合部と、前記PTC本体の下面に結合されている電池セル結合部とを含んでおり、そのうち電池セル結合部が、PCMアセンブリの上側から露出可能なように、PCMアセンブリの一側端部から横方向に突出延長されていることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記絶縁性装着部材は、接続部材(A)が電池セルに接続される部位を確保できるように、電池セルの上端面よりも横方向において小さい大きさを有し、電池セルのケース上端の突出部(‘密封された電解液注入部’)が上部から露出される第2開口がさらに形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記絶縁性装着部材に対するPCMアセンブリの安定した装着状態を確保できるように、装着部材には、上端面から収納用側壁が上向き突出しており、前記収納用側壁から縦方向に締結用突起が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記収納用側壁及び突起の高さの和が、PCBの高さと同一であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルに対する絶縁性装着部材の安定した装着状態を確保できるように、装着部材の下面には、一つ以上の締結用突起が下向き突出しており、電池セルの上面には、前記締結用突起に対応する締結用湾入部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池ケースの上端面に対する絶縁性キャップの結合は、接着(Bonding)方式により達成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池ケースの外面には、外装フィルムが付着されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、角形のリチウム二次電池セルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池パック。
- 電池セルに装着されるPCMアセンブリであって、
保護回路モジュール(PCM)と、前記PCMの下面にSMT方式で結合されている接続部材(A,B)と、前記PCMの上面に形成されている外部入出力端子とを含んでおり、
接続部材(A)は安全素子を経由して第1電極端子に接続され、接続部材(B)は第2電極端子に結合されており、前記接続部材(B)を露出できる貫通口が前記PCB上に穿孔されていることを特徴とする、PCMアセンブリ。
