Abstract
【解決手段】正極活物質本体と、正極活物質本体の表面の一部に付着する付着部と、を有し、付着部は化学式:VOPO4で表される化合物よりなり、正極活物質本体の表面積全体を100%としたときに、付着部の面積の占める割合は1%以上30%以下であることを特徴とする。

Description
本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質は、正極活物質本体と、正極活物質本体の表面の一部に付着する付着部と、を有し、付着部は化学式:VOPO4で表される化合物よりなる。
本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池は、上述したリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質を有する。
本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池は、電池構成要素として、上記した正極に加えて、負極、セパレータ、電解液を有する。
[リチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製]
正極活物質本体として平均粒径10μmのLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を準備した。付着部の原料として、VOSO4・2H2Oと(NH4)2HPO4とを準備した。
実施例1のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を次のようにして作製した。
実施例1のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を100質量%としたときにVOPO4が0.5質量%となるようにLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を投入した以外は実施例1と同様にして、実施例2のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例1のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を100質量%としたときにVOPO4が1質量%となるようにLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を投入した以外は実施例1と同様にして、実施例3のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例1のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、乾燥させた後、焼成を行わなかった以外は実施例1と同様にして、実施例4のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例2のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、乾燥させた後、焼成を行わなかった以外は実施例2と同様にして、実施例5のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例3のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、乾燥させた後、焼成を行わなかった以外は実施例1と同様にして、実施例6のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
正極活物質として付着物のないLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2そのものを使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして、比較例1のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例1のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の作製において、LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を100質量%としたときにVOPO4が2質量%となるようにLiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2を投入した以外は実施例1と同様にして、比較例2のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
実施例1〜6、比較例1及び比較例2のラミネート型リチウムイオン二次電池を用いて初期充放電容量を測定した。
充放電効率(%)=初期放電容量/初期充電容量×100
結果を表1に示す。
Claims (4)
- 正極活物質本体と、
該正極活物質本体の表面の一部に付着する付着部と、
を有し、
該付着部は化学式:VOPO4で表される化合物よりなり、
前記正極活物質本体の表面積全体を100%としたときに、前記付着部の面積の占める割合は1%以上30%以下であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質。 - 該化合物は粒子であり、該粒子の平均粒径は10nm以上200nm以下である請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質。
- 150℃以上500℃以下の温度で加熱する加熱工程を経て製造された請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質を有するリチウムイオン二次電池。
