Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の実施形態にかかる画素は、有機発光ダイオードと、第1電源と第1ノードとの間に接続されたストレージキャパシタと、前記第1ノードに印加される電圧の大きさに応答して、前記第1電源から前記有機発光ダイオードを介して第2電源に流れる電流の大きさを制御する第1トランジスタと、データ線と前記第1トランジスタの第1電極との間に接続され、制御線を介して制御信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第2トランジスタと、前記第1ノードと前記第1トランジスタの第2電極との間に接続され、第n(nは自然数)走査線を介して走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第3トランジスタと、初期電源と前記第1ノードとの間に接続され、第(n−1)走査線を介して前記走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第4トランジスタとを含む。

- 有機発光ダイオードと、
第1電源と第1ノードとの間に接続されたストレージキャパシタと、
前記第1ノードに印加される電圧の大きさに応答して、前記第1電源から前記有機発光ダイオードを介して第2電源に流れる電流の大きさを制御する第1トランジスタと、
データ線と前記第1トランジスタの第1電極との間に接続され、制御線を介して制御信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第2トランジスタと、
前記第1ノードと前記第1トランジスタの第2電極との間に接続され、第n(nは自然数)走査線を介して走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第3トランジスタと、
初期電源と前記第1ノードとの間に接続され、第(n−1)走査線を介して前記走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第4トランジスタとを含むことを特徴とする画素。 - 前記第1電源と前記第1トランジスタの前記第1電極との間に接続され、発光制御線を介して発光制御信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第5トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタの前記第2電極と前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極との間に接続され、前記第5トランジスタと同時にターンオンされる第6トランジスタとをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素。 - 前記第n走査線と前記第1ノードとの間に接続されたブースティングキャパシタをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素。
- 前記第3トランジスタおよび前記第4トランジスタのそれぞれは、デュアルゲートトランジスタであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素。
- 前記走査信号は、前記発光制御信号が供給されず、前記制御信号が供給されている間、前記第(n−1)走査線と前記第n走査線を介して順次に供給されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画素。
- 走査線、発光制御線、制御線、およびデータ線の交差部ごとに配置される画素を含む画素部と、
前記走査線に走査信号を順次に供給し、前記発光制御線に発光制御信号を順次に供給し、前記制御線に制御信号を順次に供給する走査駆動部と、
前記データ線にデータ信号を供給するデータ駆動部とを含み、
前記画素のうち、n(nは自然数)番目の水平ラインに配置される画素のそれぞれは、
有機発光ダイオードと、
第1電源と第1ノードとの間に接続されたストレージキャパシタと、
前記第1ノードに印加される電圧の大きさに応答して、前記第1電源から前記有機発光ダイオードを介して第2電源に流れる電流の大きさを制御する第1トランジスタと、
前記データ線のうちのいずれか1つと前記第1トランジスタの第1電極との間に接続され、第n制御線を介して制御信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第2トランジスタと、
前記第1ノードと前記第1トランジスタの第2電極との間に接続され、第n走査線を介して走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第3トランジスタと、
初期電源と前記第1ノードとの間に接続され、第(n−1)走査線を介して前記走査信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第4トランジスタとを含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記画素のそれぞれは、
前記第1電源と前記第1トランジスタの前記第1電極との間に接続され、発光制御線を介して発光制御信号が供給される時にターンオンされる第5トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタの前記第2電極と前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極との間に接続され、前記第5トランジスタと同時にターンオンされる第6トランジスタとをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記画素のそれぞれは、
前記第n走査線と前記第1ノードとの間に接続されたブースティングキャパシタをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第3トランジスタおよび前記第4トランジスタのそれぞれは、デュアルゲートトランジスタであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の画素。
- 前記走査駆動部は、第n発光制御線に前記発光制御信号を供給しない間、第n制御線に前記制御信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記走査駆動部は、前記第n制御線に前記制御信号を供給している間、前記第(n−1)走査線と前記第n走査線に前記走査信号を順次に供給することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 第n(nは自然数)番目の水平ラインに配置された画素の駆動方法において、
1水平期間中の第1期間の間、第(n−1)番目の水平ラインに配置された画素に書き込まれる第1データ信号を用いて駆動トランジスタを初期化するステップと、
前記1水平期間中の第2期間の間、第n番目の水平ラインに配置された画素に書き込まれる第2データ信号をストレージキャパシタに書き込むステップとを含むことを特徴とする画素の駆動方法。 - 前記初期化するステップは、
前記第1期間の間、前記第1データ信号を前記駆動トランジスタの第1電極に印加するステップと、
前記第1期間中の第3期間の間、前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極に初期電源を印加するステップとを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の画素の駆動方法。 - 前記書き込むステップは、
前記第2期間の間、前記第2データ信号を前記駆動トランジスタの前記第1電極に印加するステップと、
前記第2期間中の第4期間の間、前記ストレージキャパシタに前記第2データ信号に対応する大きさの電圧を充電するステップとを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の画素の駆動方法。 - 前記1水平期間の後、前記ストレージキャパシタに充電された電圧の大きさに対応する大きさの電流を有機発光ダイオードに供給するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の画素の駆動方法。
