Abstract
【解決手段】電解質膜・電極構造体10は、固体高分子電解質膜18を挟持するカソード電極20及びアノード電極22を有するMEA構成部10aと、前記MEA構成部10aを周回して接合される樹脂製枠部材24とを備える。固体高分子電解質膜18の第2ガス拡散層22bの外周端から外方に延在する外周縁部18beと樹脂製枠部材24の内周突部24aとの間には、接着層26が設けられるとともに、前記接着層26は、前記第2ガス拡散層22bの外周端縁部と重なり部位26aを有する。

Claims (6)
- 固体高分子電解質膜の一方の面に、第1触媒層及び第1ガス拡散層を有する第1電極が配設され、且つ前記固体高分子電解質膜の他方の面に、第2触媒層及び第2ガス拡散層を有する第2電極が配設されるとともに、前記第1ガス拡散層の平面寸法は、前記第2ガス拡散層の平面寸法よりも大きな寸法に設定される燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体であって、
前記固体高分子電解質膜の前記第2ガス拡散層の外周端から外方に延在する外周縁部には、前記外周縁部を周回する枠形状の保護部材が設けられ、
前記固体高分子電解質膜の前記外周縁部と前記保護部材との間には、緩衝部材が設けられるとともに、
前記緩衝部材は、前記第2ガス拡散層の外周端縁部と重なり部位を有することを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体において、前記緩衝部材は、前記固体高分子電解質膜の前記外周縁部と前記保護部材とを接合するための接着層であることを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。
- 請求項2記載の燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体において、前記接着層は、前記第1触媒層又は前記第1触媒層と前記第1ガス拡散層との間に介装される中間層に対して重なり部位を有することを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体において、前記保護部材は、前記固体高分子電解質膜の外周を周回する枠形状を有し、段部を介し最外周よりも薄肉状に形成されて前記第2ガス拡散層側に突出する内周突部が設けられる樹脂製枠部材であり、
前記固体高分子電解質膜の前記外周縁部と前記樹脂製枠部材の前記内周突部との間には、前記緩衝部材が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。 - 請求項4記載の燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体において、前記第1ガス拡散層及び前記第2ガス拡散層と前記樹脂製枠部材とは、樹脂含浸部を介して一体化されるとともに、
前記樹脂含浸部の融点は、前記緩衝部材の融点よりも高く設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体において、前記保護部材は、前記固体高分子電解質膜の前記外周縁部に配置される保護フィルムであることを特徴とする燃料電池用電解質膜・電極構造体。
