Abstract
Description
本願は、2010年1月14日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/294,972号(係属中)の優先権の利益を主張し、該出願の開示は参照によりその全体が本明細書に援用される。
Claims (13)
- 入口と出口とを有する接着剤吐出モジュールであって、前記入口を通して低圧で液体材料を受け、前記出口において高圧を急速に発達させて前記液体材料を前記出口から噴射するようになっている接着剤吐出モジュールと、
低圧に維持されるホットメルト接着剤の供給部と、
前記接着剤吐出モジュールの前記入口と前記供給部との間を連通させる低圧液体通路と、
を備える接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項1に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
前記接着剤吐出モジュールは、
前記出口と連通している液体チャンバーおよび前記出口に近接している窪みと、
前記液体チャンバー内に配置されているピストン先端と、
を更に備え、
前記窪みは、前記ピストン先端と相補的な形状であるとともに該ピストン先端を内部に受容するようになっていて、それによって、前記ピストン先端は、前記窪み内に移動するときに前記高圧を発生させる接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項2に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
前記ピストン先端は、前記液体チャンバー内で、前記供給部からのホットメルト接着剤が前記窪みに入れられる第1の位置と、前記ピストン先端が前記液体チャンバーをホットメルト接着剤の前記供給部からシールする第2の位置と、ホットメルト接着剤が前記出口から高圧下で噴射される第3の位置との間を、往復動可能である接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項1に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
ホットメルト接着剤の前記供給部は、ホットメルト接着剤を固体形態で収容するようになっている接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項4に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
ホットメルト接着剤を前記接着剤吐出モジュールに向けて給送する螺旋刃を更に備える接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項4に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
ホットメルト接着剤を前記接着剤吐出モジュールに向けて給送する真空給送機構を更に備える接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項1に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
接着剤吐出システムは、それぞれの第1の入口および第2の入口と第1の出口および第2の出口とを有する第1の接着剤吐出モジュールと第2の接着剤吐出モジュールとを備え、前記第1の入口および前記第2の入口は、前記供給部からそれぞれの第1の低圧液体通路および第2の低圧液体通路を通して同じ低い圧力で液体材料を受け取り、前記それぞれの出口に近接して高圧を生成して液体材料を前記出口から異なる速度で噴射する接着剤吐出システム。 - 請求項1に記載の接着剤吐出システムであって、
前記供給部は前記接着剤吐出モジュール上で支持されている接着剤吐出システム。 - 液体材料を噴射する装置であって、
液体材料の供給源に連結可能な吐出装置本体であって、液体チャンバーを含む、吐出装置本体と、
前記液体チャンバー内に移動可能に配置されているとともにピストン先端を有する、ピストンと、
前記液体チャンバーおよび液体出口と流体連通している窪みであって、前記ピストン先端を該窪み内に受け入れ可能であるように前記ピストン先端と相補的な形状である、窪みと、
を備え、
前記ピストンは、前記ピストン先端が前記窪みから離間している第1の位置から、前記ピストン先端が前記窪みを効果的にシールして該ピストン先端と前記窪みとの間に個別量を画定する第2の位置へ、次いで、前記ピストン先端が前記窪み内に受け入れられて前記個別量を前記窪みから前記液体出口を通して変位させる第3の位置まで移動可能である、液体材料を噴射する装置。 - 請求項9に記載の接着剤吐出装置であって、さらに、
前記吐出装置本体内の開口端であって、前記液体チャンバーと連通している開口端と、
前記吐出装置本体の前記開口端に動作可能に連結されているノズルと、
を更に備え、
前記窪みは前記ノズルに形成されている装置。 - 請求項9に記載の接着剤吐出装置であって、さらに、
前記ピストン先端は球状形状を有する、請求項9に記載の装置。 - 液体材料を吐出する方法であって、
液体材料を、液体チャンバーを充填するには十分であるが該液体材料を窪みと関連するとともに前記液体チャンバーと連通している出口から吐出させない圧力で前記液体チャンバーに供給することと、
前記窪みに近接して個別量の液体材料を効果的にシールすることと、
前記窪みにおいて高圧を生成することであって、前記出口から前記個別量の液体材料を噴射する、高圧を生成することと、
を含む、液体材料を吐出する吐出方法。 - 請求項12に記載の吐出方法であって、
生成される前記圧力は約400ポンド毎平方インチから約2500ポンド毎平方インチの範囲である吐出方法。
