Claims (5)

  1. (a)少なくとも1種の大腸菌株を含む疑いのある、少なくとも1つの試料を準備する工程、
    (b)水和した又は水和可能な少なくとも1つの培養培地を含む、少なくとも1つの培養デバイスを準備する工程、
    (c)前記培養デバイス内で前記培養培地に接触させ、前記培養培地を水和したときに、実質的に光学的に透明である、少なくとも1つの粒子状濃縮剤を準備する工程、
    (d)前記粒子状濃縮剤を前記試料と接触させて配置することで、前記大腸菌株の少なくとも一部を前記粒子状濃縮剤に結合し、あるいは前記粒子状濃縮剤により捕捉させ、大腸菌を結合した粒子状濃縮剤を形成する工程、
    (e)前記大腸菌を結合した粒子状濃縮剤を、前記培養デバイスの前記培養培地と接触させて配置する工程、
    (f)前記培養培地と接触させた、前記大腸菌を結合した粒子状濃縮剤を含む前記培養デバイスをインキュベートし、前記培養培地を水和させる工程、及び
    (g)前記粒子状濃縮剤から前記大腸菌株を分離することなく、前記大腸菌株の存在を光学的に検出する工程、を含む、プロセス。
  2. 前記試料が液体の形態であり;前記試料が水試料であり;前記大腸菌株がガス産生大腸菌株であり;及び/又は前記大腸菌株がEscherichia coliである、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
  3. 前記粒子状濃縮剤が非晶質の長球化ケイ酸マグネシウムであり;前記光学的に検出する工程が少なくとも1つの色変化を検出することを含み;及び/又は前記光学的に検出する工程が自動化された光学的検出システムにより達成される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
  4. (a)Escherichia coliを含む疑いのある、少なくとも1つの水試料を準備する工程、
    (b)少なくとも1つの発酵性栄養素を含む水和した又は水和可能な少なくとも1つの培養培地を含む、少なくとも1つの平板状フィルム型培養デバイスを準備する工程、
    (c)前記平板状フィルム型培養デバイス内で前記培養培地に接触させ、前記培養培地を水和したときに、実質的に光学的に透明である、少なくとも1つの粒子状濃縮剤を準備する工程であって、前記粒子状濃縮剤が、非晶質の長球化ケイ酸マグネシウム;炭酸カルシウム;シリカ;ヒドロキシアパタイト;二酸化チタン改質珪藻土;及びこれらの組み合わせから選択される無機微小粒子を含む、少なくとも1つの粒子状濃縮剤を準備する工程、
    (d)前記粒子状濃縮剤を前記水試料と接触させて配置することで、前記Escherichia coliの少なくとも一部を前記粒子状濃縮剤に結合し、あるいは前記粒子状濃縮剤により捕捉させ、Escherichia coliを結合した粒子状濃縮剤を形成する工程、
    (e)前記Escherichia coliを結合した粒子状濃縮剤を、前記平板状フィルム型培養デバイスの前記培養培地と接触させて配置する工程、
    (f)前記Escherichia coliを結合した粒子状濃縮剤を前記培養培地と接触させて含む前記平板状フィルム型培養デバイスをインキュベートし、前記培養培地を水和させる工程、及び
    (g)前記粒子状濃縮剤から前記Escherichia coliを分離することなく、前記Escherichia coliの存在を光学的に検出する工程であって、前記光学的に検出する工程が、少なくとも1つのスキャナを含む自動化された光学的検出システムを用いるデジタル式光学イメージングにより、少なくとも1つの色変化及び少なくとも1つのEscherichia coliコロニーに近接した少なくとも1つの気泡の存在を検出することを含む、検出する工程、を含む、プロセス。
  5. 請求項1のプロセスを実施するのに使用するための診断キットであって、
    (a)水和した又は水和可能な少なくとも1つの培養培地を含む、少なくとも1つの培養デバイス、及び
    (b)前記培養デバイス内で前記培養培地に接触させ、前記培養培地を水和したときに、実質的に光学的に透明である、少なくとも1つの粒子状濃縮剤、を含む、診断キット。
