Abstract
Description
a)直流の稼働電圧Voを出力する第1状態及び既知値且つ直流のテスト電圧Vtを出力する第2状態を採りうる可変電源を準備するステップと、
b)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったことを検知したときに、既知値の基準抵抗Rrを発熱抵抗Ri及び上記コンデンサに対し直列に挿入し且つそのコンデンサを開放させるステップと、
c)発熱抵抗Riと基準抵抗Rrを電気的に接続している個所の電圧Viをディジタル計測するステップと、
d)その結果に基づきその発熱抵抗Riにおける故障の有無を調べるステップと、
を有する。
a)直流の稼働電圧を出力する第1状態及び既知値且つ直流のテスト電圧Vtを出力する第2状態を採りうる可変電源と、
b)既知値の基準抵抗Rrと、
c)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、基準抵抗Rrを発熱抵抗Ri及び上記コンデンサに対し直列に挿入する第1回路手段と、
d)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、上記コンデンサを開放させる第2回路手段と、
e)発熱抵抗Riと基準抵抗Rrを電気的に接続している個所に電気的に接続されておりその個所の電圧Viをディジタル計測するアナログディジタル回路と、
f)その結果に基づきその発熱抵抗Riにおける故障の有無を調べる手段と、
を備える。
Ri=RrVi/(Vt−Vi)
で表される。
Claims (11)
- 複数個のインク射出部、各インク射出部に設けられた発熱抵抗Ri、並びにそれら発熱抵抗Riに対し並列接続された共通のコンデンサを備えるインクジェットプリンタにて実行され、その発熱抵抗Riの故障を発熱抵抗Ri毎に検知する方法であって、
a)直流の稼働電圧を出力する第1状態及び既知値且つ直流のテスト電圧Vtを出力する第2状態を採りうる可変電源を準備するステップと、
b)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったことを検知したときに、既知値の基準抵抗Rrを発熱抵抗Ri及び上記コンデンサに対し直列に挿入し且つそのコンデンサを開放させるステップと、
c)発熱抵抗Riと基準抵抗Rrを電気的に接続している個所の電圧Viをディジタル計測するステップと、
d)その結果に基づきその発熱抵抗Riにおける故障の有無を調べるステップと、
を有する方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、更に、電圧Viをディジタル計測する前にコンデンサ内電荷を減少させるステップを有する方法。
- 請求項1記載の方法であって、発熱抵抗Riの抵抗値をRi=RrVi/(Vt−Vi)なる関係に基づき計算する方法。
- 請求項2記載の方法であって、発熱抵抗Riの抵抗値をRi=RrVi/(Vt−Vi)なる関係に基づき計算する方法。
- 複数個のインク射出部、各インク射出部に設けられた発熱抵抗Ri、並びにそれら発熱抵抗Riに対し並列接続された共通のコンデンサを備えるインクジェットプリンタにて使用され、その発熱抵抗Riの故障を検知する装置であって、
a)直流の稼働電圧を出力する第1状態及び既知値且つ直流のテスト電圧Vtを出力する第2状態を採りうる可変電源と、
b)既知値の基準抵抗Rrと、
c)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、基準抵抗Rrを発熱抵抗Ri及び上記コンデンサに対し直列に挿入する第1回路手段と、
d)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、上記コンデンサを開放させる第2回路手段と、
e)発熱抵抗Riと基準抵抗Rrを電気的に接続している個所に電気的に接続されておりその個所の電圧Viをディジタル計測するアナログディジタル回路と、
f)その結果に基づきその発熱抵抗Riにおける故障の有無を調べる手段と、
を備える装置。 - 請求項5記載の装置であって、上記第2回路手段がトランジスタを有する装置。
- 請求項5記載の装置であって、上記第2回路手段が、上記コンデンサの負極側と接地との間に接続されたNチャネルFETを有する装置。
- 請求項5記載の装置であって、上記第1回路手段が、基準抵抗Rrに対し並列でそのオン抵抗がRr/3未満のスイッチを有する装置。
- いずれも共通の第2種回路部品に接続されており複数個でアレイをなしている第1種回路部品の状態を個別にモニタする装置であって、
a)稼働電圧を出力する第1状態及び既知値のテスト電圧を出力する第2状態を採りうる可変電源と、
b)上記第1種回路部品の電気特性と比較可能な電気特性を有する既知値の基準回路部品と、
c)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、上記基準回路部品を上記第1種回路部品に対し直列に挿入する第1回路と、
d)上記可変電源の状態が第1状態から第2状態へと切り替わったときに、上記第2種回路部品を上記第1種回路部品から分離させる第2回路と、
e)上記第1種回路部品及び基準回路部品に電気的に接続されておりその電圧をディジタル計測するアナログディジタルコンバータと、
f)その結果に基づき上記第1種回路部品における故障の有無を調べる手段と、
を備える装置。 - 請求項9記載の装置であって、上記稼働電圧が直流電圧である装置。
- 請求項9記載の装置であって、上記稼働電圧が交流電圧である装置。
