腕金73の腕金先端部Bは、鳥類が接近しても営巣されることが比較的少ない箇所である。従って、腕金先端部Bには鳥類の接近・飛来を防止する鳥類忌避マーク表示部材33を備えた鳥害防止装置1を取り付ける。腕金先端部Bには、鳥害防止装置1を各方向から視認できるように、鳥類忌避マーク表示部材35、36を取り付ける。

このように、本実施形態に係る鳥害防止装置1は、ユニット化された鳥類忌避ユニット20を備えているので、取り付ける場所や目的によって、鳥類忌避片32と鳥類忌避マーク表示部材33とスペーサ37とを適宜組み合わせることにより、目的に応じた鳥害対策をとることができる。また、ボルトを用いて固定している箇所に共締めするだけで取り付けられるので、特殊な工具や技能を必要とせず、設置が簡単である。
