Abstract
【解決手段】長手方向の軸線を有し、超弾性材料から形成された素材の塑性変形によって形成される歯内療法用器具が提供される。この器具は、素材の超弾性材料をオーステナイト相に変態させるステップと、長手方向軸線を中心に素材をねじり、螺旋形の刃先を有する器具を形成するステップと、ねじられた素材に熱処理を施して、前記器具の超弾性特性を最適化するステップとによって形成される。

Claims (12)
- 長手方向の軸線を有し、超弾性材料から形成された素材の塑性変形によって形成される歯内療法用器具であって、
素材の超弾性材料をオーステナイト相に変態させるステップと、
長手方向軸線を中心に素材をねじり、螺旋形の刃先を有する器具を形成するステップと、
前記ねじられた素材に熱処理を施して、前記器具の超弾性特性を最適化するステップとによって形成される器具。 - 素材の超弾性材料をオーステナイト相に変態させるステップが、前記素材を前記超弾性材料の作業温度範囲Twに加熱するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の歯内療法用器具。
- 前記作業温度範囲Twが約200°F(93℃)〜400°F(204℃)である、請求項2に記載の歯内療法用器具。
- ねじり中に内部摩擦によって素材を加熱する、請求項1に記載の歯内療法用器具。
- 前記超弾性材料をマルテンサイト相に変態させるステップを更に含む、請求項1に記載の歯内療法用器具。
- ねじり中に前記超弾性材料がマルテンサイト相に変態する、請求項5に記載の歯内療法用器具。
- 超弾性材料を備え、長手方向軸線および作業長さに沿って長手方向の縁を規定する頂点を備えた所定の横断面を有する、予備形成したワイヤ素材から歯内療法用やすりを形成する方法であって、
素材の超弾性材料をオーステナイト相に変態させるステップと、
長手方向軸線を中心に素材をねじり、前記素材を螺旋形に永久変形させ、螺旋形の刃先を有する器具を形成するステップと、
前記ねじられた素材に熱処理を施して、前記器具の超弾性特性を最適化するステップとを含む方法。 - ねじりステップの前に、方法がさらに、やすりの作業長さとほぼ等しい距離だけ、やすりの外側に沿って少なくとも1つの細長い表面を研削するステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 素材の超弾性材料をオーステナイト相に変態させるステップが、前記素材を前記超弾性材料の作業温度範囲Twに加熱するステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記作業温度範囲Twが約200°F(93℃)〜400°F(204℃)である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記超弾性材料をマルテンサイト相に変態させるステップを更に含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- ねじり中に前記超弾性材料がマルテンサイト相に変態する、請求項11に記載の方法。
