Description
カテーテルの電極シースのルーメン内に納まる寸法にされた長尺要素と、
長尺要素の遠位端をカテーテルの電極シースのルーメンに挿入するのを容易化すべく、長尺要素の遠位端に支持された挿入容易化装置と
を含む。
近位端及び遠位端を有するハンドルと、
ハンドルの遠位端から延在する上述したような形状付与機構と、
自身のルーメン内に形状付与機構を受けた状態で、ハンドルの遠位端上に支持された電極シースと、
形状付与機構の挿入容易化装置の制御を実行するために、ハンドル上に支持された制御機構と
を含むカテーテルアセンブリが提供される。
近位端及び遠位端を有しルーメンを形成する長尺の管状要素と、
所定の形態に成形されている管状要素の遠位部分と
を備える。
着脱式である延展性の芯を有する長尺の管状要素を用意するステップと、
管状要素の遠位部分を所定の異形形態に形成するステップと、
管状要素の異形の遠位部分をその形態で硬化するステップと、
芯を除去するステップと
を含む。
Claims (18)
- カテーテルの電極シースのルーメン内に納まる寸法にされた長尺要素と、
前記長尺要素の遠位端を前記カテーテルの前記電極シースの前記ルーメンに挿入することを容易化すべく、前記長尺要素の前記遠位端に支持された挿入容易化装置と
を含むカテーテル用の形状付与機構。 - 前記長尺要素の先端が、前記カテーテルの前記電極シースの前記ルーメンへの挿入を補助すべく丸められている、請求項1に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記長尺要素の遠位部分が、異形形態を有している、請求項2に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記挿入容易化装置は、前記長尺要素に対して軸方向に変位可能なスリーブを含み、
前記スリーブは、伸張させた第1の位置と後退させた第2の位置との間で変位可能であり、
前記第1の位置は、前記スリーブが前記長尺要素の前記異形の遠位部分を実質的に直線の形態に撓ませて、前記電極シースの前記ルーメンへの前記長尺要素の前記遠位端の挿入を容易化する位置であり、前記第2の位置は、前記長尺要素の前記遠位部分が前記異形形態を採る位置である、請求項3に記載の形状付与機構。 - 前記長尺要素が、その遠位端に、該遠位端の前記スリーブ内への引込みを阻止する引込み阻止手段を含む、請求項4に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記長尺要素の少なくとも前記遠位部分が、前記スリーブが前記第2の位置にある場合に、前記遠位部分がその異形形態を採るようにする形状記憶材料である、請求項4又は5に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記長尺要素が、前記異形の遠位部分の近位側に配置された曲げ増進部分を有し、前記スリーブが、少なくとも前記第1の位置にある場合に、前記曲げ増進部分を露出して、使用時に前記長尺要素の前記異形の遠位部分の操作を容易化する、請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記挿入容易化装置が、前記長尺要素の前記丸められた先端の近位側に、前記長尺要素の遠位部分に与えられた屈曲部を備える、請求項2〜7のいずれか1項に記載の形状付与機構。
- 前記屈曲部が、前記長尺要素の前記異形形態の遠位側に配置されており、
前記屈曲部が傾斜遠位部分を形成し、該傾斜遠位部分が、前記屈曲部の近位側に配置された前記長尺要素の当該部分の軸線に対して所定の鋭角で配置されている、請求項8に記載の形状付与機構。 - 近位端及び遠位端を有するハンドルと、
前記ハンドルの前記遠位端から延びる請求項4に記載の形状付与機構と、
自身のルーメン内に前記形状付与機構を受けた状態で、前記ハンドルの前記遠位端に支持された電極シースと、
前記形状付与機構の前記挿入容易化装置の制御を実行するために、前記ハンドルに支持された制御機構と
を含むカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記制御機構が、前記スリーブが第1の位置から第2の位置に、及びその逆に変位することを容易化すべく、前記ハンドル上に軸方向にて滑動自在に配置されたスライダ装置を備える、請求項10に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記電極シースが、所定の形状に予備成形された遠位端を有する、請求項10又は11に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記電極シースの前記予備成形された遠位端が、前記長尺要素の前記遠位部分の前記異形形態に対応して与えられた形状を有する、請求項12に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 近位端及び遠位端を有しルーメンを形成する長尺の管状要素と、
所定の形態に成形されている前記管状要素の遠位部分と
を備えるカテーテル用の電極シース。 - 前記管状要素の前記遠位部分が、前記所定の形態に熱硬化されている、請求項14に記載の電極シース。
- 着脱式である延展性の芯を有する長尺の管状要素を用意するステップと、
前記管状要素の遠位部分を所定の異形形態に形成するステップと、
前記管状要素の異形の前記遠位部分をその形態で硬化するステップと、
前記芯を除去するステップと
を含むカテーテル用の電極シースを製造する方法。 - 内部に芯がある状態で、加熱機器内で所定の期間だけ前記管状要素を熱硬化するステップと、その後に前記芯を除去するステップとを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記管状要素の熱硬化後に、前記芯の除去を促進するために前記管状要素を直線化するステップと、前記芯を除去した後に、前記管状要素を異形の熱硬化形態に回復させるステップとを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
