Abstract
Description
信号対雑音比(SNR)が非常に低い環境に於いてATSC放送信号を検出する精度を向上させるために、ATSC(DTV)信号内に組み込まれたセグメント同期シンボルとフィールド同期シンボルとを利用して検出確度を向上させ、誤報知の確率を低減する。詳しくは、本発明の原理に従う装置は、一定数のチャンネルのうちの1つのチャンネルを介して無線ネットワークと通信を行う送受信装置と、一定数のチャンネルのうちのATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee)信号が検出されなかったチャンネルを含む利用可能チャンネル・リストを作成する際に使用されるATSC信号検出器とを備えている。このATSC信号検出器には、ATSC信号のPN511のシーケンスに整合するように構成されており、一定数のチャンネルのうちの1つのチャンネル上の受信信号を濾波して、受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される濾波済み信号を供給する整合フィルタが含まれている。
Claims (17)
- 一定数のチャンネルのうちの1つのチャンネルを介して無線ネットワークと通信を行う送受信装置と、
前記一定数のチャンネルのうちのATSC信号が検出されなかったチャンネルを含む利用可能チャンネル・リストを作成する際に使用されるATSC信号検出器と、
を備え、
前記ATSC信号検出器には、ATSC信号のPN511のシーケンスに整合するように構成されており、前記一定数のチャンネルのうちの1つのチャンネル上の受信信号を濾波して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される濾波済み信号を供給する整合フィルタが含まれている、前記装置。 - 一定時間に亘って前記濾波済み信号を積分して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される積分済み信号を供給する積分器を更に備えた、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記濾波済み信号のピークを検出するピーク検出器と、
一定時間に亘ってピーク位置を記憶するメモリと、
前記記憶されたピーク位置の割合が変わらない場合に前記受信信号がATSC信号であると判定するプロセッサと、
を更に備えた、請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記ATSC信号検出器に接続されており、前記一定数のチャンネルのうちのATSC信号が検出されなかったチャンネルを含む利用可能チャンネル・リストを作成し、該利用可能チャンネル・リストを前記無線ネットワークに前記送受信装置を介して送信するプロセッサを更に備えた、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記無線ネットワークが、地域無線ネットワーク(WRAN)である、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ATSC信号検出器が、コヒーレントである、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記ATSC信号検出器が、非コヒーレントである、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記整合フィルタには、各々が前記受信信号と前記PN511のシーケンスのそれぞれ異なる部分との相関を取る一定数の相関器が含まれている、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記一定数の相関器のそれぞれの相関器出力信号の大きさを合成して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される出力信号を供給する合成器を更に備えた、請求項8記載の装置。
- 前記ATSC信号検出器が、ATSC信号のPN63のシーケンスを更に使用して前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する、請求項1記載の装置。
- 無線ネットワーク受信装置に使用される方法であって、
一定数のチャンネルのうちの1つのチャンネルに同調して受信信号を再生する再生ステップと、
前記一定数のチャンネルのうちのATSC信号が検出されなかったチャンネルを含む利用可能チャンネル・リストを作成する際に使用されるATSC信号検出器で前記受信信号を処理する処理ステップと、
を備え、
前記処理ステップには、ATSC信号のPN511のシーケンスに整合するように構成された整合フィルタで前記受信信号を濾波して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される濾波済み信号を供給する濾波ステップが含まれている、前記方法。 - 前記処理ステップには、一定時間に亘って前記濾波済み信号を積分して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される積分済み信号を供給するステップが更に含まれている、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記処理ステップには、
前記濾波済み信号のピークを検出するステップと、
一定時間に亘ってピーク位置を記憶するステップと、
前記記憶されたピーク位置の割合が変わらない場合に前記受信信号がATSC信号であると判定するステップと、
が更に含まれている、請求項11記載の方法。 - 前記利用可能チャンネル・リストを送信するステップを更に備えた、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記無線ネットワーク受信装置が地域無線ネットワーク(WRAN)受信装置である、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記処理ステップには、
前記受信信号と前記PN511のシーケンスのそれぞれ異なる部分との相関を取り、それぞれの相関出力信号を供給するステップと、
前記それぞれの相関出力信号の大きさを合成して、前記受信信号がATSC信号であるか否かを判定する際に使用される出力信号を供給するステップと、
が更に含まれている、請求項11記載の方法。 - 前記濾波ステップには、ATSC信号のPN63のシーケンスに整合するように構成されたフィルタで前記受信信号を濾波するステップが更に含まれている、請求項11記載の方法。
