Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- 車両用バッテリパックの冷却システムにおいて、
車両のキャビンから分離されているバッテリパックの周辺領域において前記車両の内部に存在している空気を、吸気ダクトを通過させることなく直接的に前記バッテリパックに導入するとともに、前記バッテリパックを通過して加熱された空気を前記車両の内部空間に接続された排気ダクトを介して排出し、前記バッテリパックの周辺領域へと空気が再び循環する可能性が低くなるように構成されていることを特徴とする冷却システム。 - 前記冷却システムは、
ユニットセルを含む前記バッテリパックの外側表面を取り囲む閉じた型式のハウジングと、
前記ユニットセルに対応する領域において前記ハウジングに形成された複数の吸気ポートと、
前記吸気ポートの反対側の領域において前記ハウジングに接続された排気ダクトと、
前記排気ダクトに装着された冷却ファンとを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の冷却システム。 - 前記バッテリパックは、前記車両の後部に配置されたトランク内に装着されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記排気ダクトが接続されている前記車両の内部空間は、前記車両のインナパネルとアウタパネルとの間に画成された空間であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記バッテリパックは、板状に形付けられた1つ若しくは複数のユニットセルを一つのカートリッジとして構成するとともに、複数のカートリッジを連続させて積層した電池モジュールから製造されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記ユニットセルは、板状に形作られたリチウムイオン二次電池、板状に形作られたリチウムイオンポリマ二次電池、あるいは板状に形作られたニッケル水素電池であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記吸気ポートは、前記バッテリパックの板状に形作られた前記ユニットセルに合わせてそれぞれスリット形に構成され、かつ前記吸気ポートは、前記ユニットセルのそれぞれに対応させて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記吸気ポートはそれぞれその上側部分がスカート構造に構成され、それによって異物の導入を防止していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記ハウジングの下端部は、前記バッテリパックのうち前記車両の湾曲しているロワプレートに合わせた形状を有しているベースプレートと同じ形状に湾曲していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記バッテリパックは、前記バッテリパックから電力を取り出しあるいは前記バッテリパックからの電力の取り出しを中断するための接続モジュールがその右側に設けられており、かつ前記バッテリパックは、前記バッテリパックの温度および前記ユニットセルの電圧を監視する電池管理システム(BMS)モジュールがその左側に設けられており、これにより、前記ユニットセルを冷却するための空気流路が最小距離の直線状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の冷却システム。
- 前記冷却ファンは、前記BMSモジュールによって自動制御されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の冷却システム。
