Abstract
Description
本願は、2005年7月7日付けで出願された「塞栓症保護装置およびその使用方法」と題する米国特許出願第11/177,473号に基づく国際特許出願であり、この米国特許出願はすべての目的において参考として本願に一体のものとして統合される。
本発明は、血管内の閉塞物を緩和若しくは排除するための手術中または手術後において、血流中に塞栓が形成されることを防止するための装置および方法に関する。
Claims (49)
- シース排出装置であって、
血流と流体連通するように構成された、遠位端および近位端の間に延びる排出ルーメンを有する第1の伸長管状部と、
遠位端および近位端の間に延びる膨張ルーメンを有する第2の伸長管状部と、
第1の伸長管状部の遠位端に取り付けられ、第2の伸長管状部の膨張ルーメンと流体連通するチャンバを有する拡張可能なシール部と、
圧力調整機構を有し、第2の伸長管状部の膨張ルーメンの近位端と流体連通するように構成されたガス膨張器とを備えたことを特徴とする装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置であって、

高圧抵抗出口ポートは、ガス膨張器から延びるチューブを介して膨張ルーメンと連通し、
少なくとも1つの圧力開放バルブを介して、高圧抵抗出口ポートからの高圧ガスの流れを調整するステップと、
膨張ルーメンに連通したチューブに低圧ガスを供給して拡張可能部を膨張させるステップを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項46に記載の方法であって、
シース排出装置をガイドカテーテルに通して前方へ移動させる前に、膨張ルーメンおよび拡張可能部から周辺空気を排気して事前準備するステップを有し、このステップは、
ガス膨張器内の真空チャンバの開口部を形成する一方向バイパスを有するシールに作動可能に接続されたガス膨張器内のピストンを駆動するステップと、
ピストンを開放して、真空チャンバ内に真空を形成するステップと、
低圧抵抗出口ポートが膨張ルーメンに連通しているとき、ガス膨張器上の真空ボタンを押下して、膨張ルーメンと流体連通する低圧抵抗出口ポートに真空チャンバが流体連通するようにガス膨張器内のシャトル機構を移動させるステップと、
低圧抵抗出口ポートを介して、膨張ルーメンおよび拡張可能部からガスを排気するステップとを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項46に記載の方法であって、
拡張可能部を収縮させるステップは、
ガス膨張器内の真空チャンバの開口部を形成する一方向バイパスを有するシールに作動可能に接続されたガス膨張器内のピストンを駆動するステップと、
ピストンを開放して、真空チャンバ内に真空を形成するステップと、
低圧抵抗出口ポートが膨張ルーメンに連通しているとき、ガス膨張器上の真空ボタンを押下して、膨張ルーメンと流体連通する低圧抵抗出口ポートに真空チャンバが流体連通するようにガス膨張器内のシャトル機構を移動させるステップと、
低圧抵抗出口ポートを介して、膨張ルーメンおよび拡張可能部からガスを排気するステップとを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項47に記載の方法であって、
拡張可能部が膨張または収縮するとき、膨張ルーメン内の圧力をモニタするステップを有することを特徴とする方法。
