Claims (10)
- 流体をポンピングする装置であって、
少なくとも1つのハウジングと、プランジャと、少なくとも1つのひずみセンサとを備え、
前記少なくとも1つのハウジングが、外部面と内部面を有し、前記内部面が、プランジャを受け、かつ前記内部面と外部面との間に延びる流体流入開口部と流体流出開口部とを有する室を画定し、前記室が、第1の端壁と、プランジャを受けるプランジャ開口部とを備える円筒形状を有し、前記少なくとも1つのハウジングの前記外部面が、前記第1の端壁と第2の端壁との間に変換器表面を有し、前記内部表面と外部表面とが、第1の厚みと第2の厚みを画定し、前記第2の厚みを有する前記変換器表面が、前記室が圧力下の流体を保持すると測定可能な変形を呈して、前記変換器表面が、室が低い圧力を受ける第1の位置と、前記室が高い圧力を受ける第2の位置とを有し、
プランジャが、前記プランジャ開口部で受け取られて、前記室内で往復運動をし、前記往復運動が、前記流体入口開口部を通って前記室へ流入し、かつ前記流体流出開口部から流出する流体移動を引き起こし、
少なくとも1つのひずみセンサが、前記変換器表面に取り付けられ、前記ひずみセンサが、前記変換器表面が前記第1の位置をとると少なくとも1つの信号を生成し、前記変換器表面が前記第2の位置をとると少なくとも1つの信号を生成して、組込式圧力変換器として機能する、装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つのハウジング変換器表面が、前記室が加圧されると変形することができる平面である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ハウジングが、チタニウム、アルミニウム、およびバナジウムから成る金属および合金から選択される組成を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記金属および合金が、チタニウム、アルミニウム、およびバナジウム合金6A14Vである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記外部面が、円筒状部分と半円筒状部分を有し、前記円筒状部分が、他の機器に取り付けるための基部を形成し、前記半円筒状部分が、平面と半円筒状面を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記変換器表面が、前記平面の空洞の底面である、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の厚みが、約0.10インチから0.001インチ(2.54mmから0.025mm)である、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の厚みが、約0.05インチから0.005インチ(1.27mmから0.127mm)である、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の厚みが、約0.040インチから0.01インチ(1.016mmから0.254mm)である、請求項8に記載の装置。

少なくとも1つのハウジングとプランジャと少なくとも1つのひずみセンサとを提供するステップを含み、前記少なくとも1つのハウジングが、外部面と内部面を有し、前記内部面が、プランジャを受け、かつ前記内部面と外部面との間に延びる流体流入開口部と流体流出開口部を有する室を画定し、前記室が、第1の端壁と、プランジャを受けるプランジャ開口部とを備える円筒形状を有し、前記少なくとも1つのハウジングの前記外部面が、前記第1の端壁と第2の端壁との間に変換器表面を有し、内部表面と外部表面が、第1の厚みと第2の厚みを画定し、前記第2の厚みを有する前記変換器表面が、前記室が圧力下の流体を保持すると測定可能な変形を呈して、前記変換器表面が、室が低い圧力を受ける第1の位置と、前記室が高い圧力を受ける第2の位置とを有し、
プランジャが、前記プランジャ開口部で受け取られて、前記室内で往復運動をし、前記往復運動が、前記流体流入口開口部を通って前記室へと流入し、かつ前記流体流出開口部から流出する流体移動を引き起こし、
少なくとも1つのひずみセンサが、前記変換器表面に取り付けられ、前記変換器表面が前記第1の位置をとると少なくとも1つの信号を生成し、前記変換器表面が前記第2の位置をとると少なくとも1つの信号を生成して、組込式圧力変換器として機能し、前記方法がさらに、
ひずみゲージの読取りを、室内圧力の表示として取り込むステップを含む、方法。
