Abstract
Description
本発明の一つの面において、個々の人の口腔の全部又は一部を、カルボキシビニルポリマー、湿潤剤、ポリエチレングリコール、及び約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する非水性組成物と、プラーク又はプラーク堆積を防ぐ又は低減させるのに有効な時間、接触させることを含む、個々の人においてプラーク又はプラーク堆積を防ぐ又は低減させる方法が提供される。この非水性組成物は、歯において容認できる研磨剤を任意に含有し得る。個々の人の口腔の全部又は一部は、典型的にはその非水性組成物と、歯を磨くのに一般的に使われる時間の長さ、接触される。好ましくはその接触は、約30秒よりも長い時間続けられる。好ましい態様では、その接触は、約30秒乃至約2分間続けられる。好ましくは、その接触は、毎日行われ、特に、一日当り1回乃至3回行われる。
本発明は、プラーク、プラーク堆積及び/又は歯肉炎を防ぐ又は低減させる、生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する非水性組成物を提供する。本発明の非水性組成物は、練り歯磨剤、又はペーストとして歯科医により塗布される組成物のような歯磨剤を含む口内衛生組成物中に混合され得る。

本研究の目的は、いくつかの生物活性ガラス[NovaMin(登録商標)]含有歯磨配合物の、いくつかの通常の口内病原菌に対する抗菌性を決定し、負の対照として市販のフッ化物歯磨剤の抗菌性と比較することであった。
本実験の目的は、生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する歯磨剤及び生物活性ガラス非含有の陰性の対照歯磨剤の、6週間の臨床試験における抗歯肉炎効力及び抗プラーク効力を評価することであった。
この研究の目的は、NovaMin(登録商標)粒子の種々の濃度において、歯周病に関連する主な病原菌の一つ、アクチノバチルス・アクチノマイセテムコミタンス(A.actinomycetemcomitans)(ATCC #29523)に対して試験し、歯磨配合物中に用いられたNovaMin(登録商標)粒子の抗菌性を決定することであった。
Claims (34)
- 個々の人の口腔の全部又は一部を、カルボキシビニルポリマー、湿潤剤、ポリエチレングリコール、及び約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する非水性組成物と、プラーク又はプラーク堆積を防ぐ又は低減させるのに有効な時間、接触させることを含む、個々の人においてプラーク又はプラーク堆積を防ぐ又は低減させる方法。
- 接触させることを、約30秒より長い間、続ける、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 接触させることを、約30秒乃至約2分の間、続ける、請求項1に記載の方法。
- カルボキシビニルポリマーがカルボマーである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 湿潤剤がグリセリン、ソルビトール、プロピレングリコール又はそれらの混合物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が歯において容認できる研磨剤をさらに含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 歯において容認できる研磨剤がシリカ研磨剤である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が増粘シリカをさらに含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が約2重量%乃至約5重量%の生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 個々の人の口腔を、カルボキシビニルポリマー、湿潤剤、ポリエチレングリコール、及び約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する非水性組成物と、歯肉炎を防ぐ又は低減させるのに有効な時間、接触させることを含む、個々の人において歯肉炎を防ぐ又は低減させる方法。
- 接触させることを、約30秒より長い間、続ける、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 接触させることを、約30秒乃至約2分の間、続ける、請求項10に記載の方法。
- カルボキシビニルポリマーがカルボマーである、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 湿潤剤がグリセリン、ソルビトール、プロピレングリコール又はそれらの混合物である、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が歯において容認できる研磨剤をさらに含有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 歯において容認できる研磨剤がシリカ研磨剤である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が増粘シリカをさらに含有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 非水性組成物が約2重量%乃至約5重量%の生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 非水性基材中に約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する、歯におけるプラーク又はプラーク堆積を防ぐ又は低減させるための非水性組成物であり、その非水性組成物が約6.0乃至約8.0のpHを有し、非水性組成物のpHが、口内環境への非水性組成物の暴露時に約1.5pH単位未満しか高くならない、非水性組成物。
- 非水性基材が、カルボキシビニルポリマー、湿潤剤、ポリエチレングリコール及び増粘剤を含有する、請求項19に記載の非水性組成物。
- カルボキシビニルポリマーがカルボマーである、請求項20に記載の非水性組成物。
- 湿潤剤がグリセリン、ソルビトール、プロピレングリコール又はそれらの混合物である、請求項20に記載の非水性組成物。
- 非水性基材が歯において容認できる研磨剤をさらに含有する、請求項20に記載の非水性組成物。
- 歯において容認できる研磨剤がシリカ研磨剤である、請求項23に記載の非水性組成物。
- 増粘剤が増粘シリカである、請求項20に記載の非水性組成物。
- 非水性基材中に約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラス粒子を含有する、歯肉炎を防ぐ又は低減させるための非水性組成物であり、その非水性組成物が約6.0乃至約8.0のpHを有し、非水性組成物のpHが、口内環境への非水性組成物の暴露時に約1.5pH単位未満しか高くならない、非水性組成物。
- 非水性基材が、カルボキシビニルポリマー、湿潤剤、ポリエチレングリコール及び増粘剤を含有する、請求項26に記載の非水性組成物。
- カルボキシビニルポリマーがカルボマーである、請求項27に記載の非水性組成物。
- 湿潤剤がグリセリン、ソルビトール、プロピレングリコール又はそれらの混合物である、請求項27に記載の非水性組成物。
- 非水性基材が歯において容認できる研磨剤をさらに含有する、請求項27に記載の非水性組成物。
- 増粘剤が増粘シリカである、請求項27に記載の非水性組成物。
- 約50重量%乃至約60重量%のグリセリン、約15重量%乃至約18重量%のポリエチレングリコール、約10重量%乃至約15重量%の研磨用シリカ、約2重量%乃至約5重量%の増粘シリカ、約1重量%の着色剤、約0.2重量%乃至約0.4重量%のカルボマー、約0.4重量%の甘味剤及び約1重量%乃至約10重量%の、約15ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラスを含有する非水性歯磨組成物であり、その組成物のpHが、口内環境への非水性歯磨組成物の暴露時に約1.5pH単位未満しか高くならない、非水性歯磨組成物。
- 約2重量%乃至約5重量%の生物活性ガラスを含有する、請求項32に記載の非水性歯磨組成物。
- グリセリン、ポリエチレングリコール、増粘シリカ、カルボマー及び約0.25重量%乃至約10重量%の、約20ミクロン未満の平均粒度を有する生物活性ガラスを含有する練り歯磨剤であり、その練り歯磨剤のpHが、口内環境への練り歯磨剤の暴露時に約1.5pH単位未満しか高くならない、非水性練り歯磨剤。
