Abstract
Description
本願明細書で使用する用語「アクセスポイント」は、コンピュータや有線ネットワークを無線媒体にインターフェースする規格802.11又は他の規格で検討されているアクセスポイントに相当し、また2000年5月17日に出願された同時継続出願第09/528/697号に記載されているRFポートやこれに接続されたセルコントローラに相当する。この特許出願明細書は参考のためにここに示したものである。
Claims (6)
- エリア内に分布されているアクセスポイントにより受信されるモバイルユニットにより送信された信号の受信信号強度を測定することによって送信しているモバイルユニットの位置を決定する物体位置決定システムを較正する方法であって、
データメッセージを前記アクセスポイントの少なくとも1つから較正すべき各モバイルユニットへ送信するステップと、
前記データメッセージに対応するモバイルユニットからの肯定応答信号を受信するステップと、
前記少なくとも1つのアクセスポイントからモバイルユニットまでの第1の距離値を前記データメッセージと前記肯定応答信号との間の時間遅延に基づいて決定するステップと、
前記少なくとも1つのアクセスポイントから前記モバイルユニットまでの第2の距離値を、前記アクセスポイントで受信される前記モバイルユニットからの肯定応答信号の信号強度を測定し前記モバイルユニットのトランスミッタ電力に対応する補正値で補正することによって決定するステップと、
前記第1の距離値を用いて前記補正値を更新するステップと、
を具えることを特徴とする較正方法。 - 前記補正値を更新する前記ステップは、前記第1の距離値と前記第2の距離値を複数の送信データメッセージおよび複数の受信肯定応答信号に対して決定し、前記複数の送信データメッセージおよび複数の受信肯定応答信号の各々に対して前記第1の距離値と前記第2の距離値との差を決定し、前記差を平均化し、前記差の平均値を用いて前記補正値を更新することを特徴とする請求項1記載の更新方法。
- 前記第1の距離値と前記第2の距離値との差の大きな値は捨てることを特徴とする請求項2記載の更新方法。
- 前記複数のデータメッセージを同じアクセスポイントで送信し、前記複数の肯定応答信号を同じアクセスポイントで受信することを特徴とする請求項2記載の更新方法。
- 前記複数のデータメッセージを2以上のアクセスポイントで送信し、前記複数の肯定応答信号の各々を対応するデータメッセージを送信するアクセスポイントで受信することを特徴とする請求項2記載の更新方法。
- 前記補正値を更新する前記ステップは、前記送信データメッセージおよび前記受信肯定応答信号に対して前記第1の距離値と前記第2の距離値を決定し、前記第1の距離値と前記第2の距離値との差を決定し、前記差の選択部分を用いて前記補正値を更新することを特徴とする請求項1記載の更新方法。
