Abstract
Description
液状シリコーンゴム組成物は、一般に、ポリジオルガノシロキサン、充填剤、架橋剤、及び硬化触媒を含有する。液状シリコーンゴムは、2パートキットとして販売されており、熱に晒されることによって硬化する。液状シリコーンゴムは粘性材料であり、その粘度は練り歯磨き程度である。液状シリコーンゴムは、種々の加工構成要素及び部品に射出成形又は鋳造されるため、色、色相、及び物理的特性のような美的要素(aesthetics)は重要な検討事項である。したがって、様々な色及び色相を有する液状シリコーンゴム組成物が商業的に必要とされ、特定の用途に色を合わせることが問題になる場合が多い。
(i)約3,000Pa.s(3,000,000センチストロークス)の粘度を有する約97.0重量パーセントの市販の液状シリコーンゴム(パートA)ベース組成物と、(ii)約1Pa.s(1,000センチストロークス)の粘度を有する約3.0重量パーセントの着色ポリジメチルシロキサンキャリア流体とから成る実験配合物を調製した。ベースを、グラコのドラムポンプから図2に示すタイプの装置に供給し、通常の上流における液状シリコーンゴム製造プロセスの出力をシミュレートするために圧力及び流量のサージを発生させた。顔料を、定速度でグラコのペールポンプにより装置に供給し、顔料用のサーボ制御式ポンプに自流式に吸引させる(provide flooded suction)とともに、製造中に生じる通常の状況にした。
Claims (4)
- 液状エラストマー及び添加剤を含有する組成物を連続調製する装置であって、
(i)添加剤を液状エラストマー中に均一に混合及び分散させる混合器と、
(ii)前記液状エラストマーを前記混合器に供給する1つ以上のサーボモータ駆動式ポンプと、
(iii)前記添加剤を前記混合器に供給する1つ以上のサーボモータ駆動式ポンプと、
(iv)前記液状エラストマーを前記液状エラストマー用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプに供給する手段と、
(v)前記添加剤を前記添加剤用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプに供給する手段と、
(vi)前記液状エラストマー及び前記添加剤を含有する組成物を前記混合器から容器に分配する手段と、
(vii)前記液状エラストマー用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプ及び前記添加剤用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプの動作を制御して、前記液状エラストマーを供給する手段及び前記添加剤を供給する手段における圧力サージに関係なく、前記液状エラストマー用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプと前記添加剤用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプとの所定のRPM比を維持するように構成及び配置される、プログラマブルロジックコンピュータと、
(viii)前記液状エラストマーの温度の変動を補償する温度補償アルゴリズム手段と
を備える装置。 - 前記液状エラストマーは、25℃で測定した場合に約500Pa.s(500,000センチストークス)〜約3,000Pa.s(3,000,000センチストークス)の粘度を有するポリジオルガノシロキサンである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記添加剤は、無機顔料又は有機顔料である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記液状エラストマー用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプと前記添加剤用の前記サーボモータ駆動式ポンプとのRPMの比は、約1:2.333である、請求項1に記載の装置。
