Abstract

Claims (10)
- 完成セラミックマトリックス複合材を形成するためのプリフォームを織る方法であって、
基盤の表面から垂直に延びまた該基盤の横方向にわたって配置されて所望のプリフォーム形状の全体輪郭を形成するように予め定めた数のピン(70)を該基盤内に位置決めする段階と、
前記所望のプリフォーム形状の全体輪郭を形成する第1の経路内に、前記ピン(70)に隣接させて第1の予め定めた数のウェフト・トウ(54)を配置する段階と、
前記第1の予め定めた数のウェフト・トウ(54)に隣接してかつ前記所望のプリフォーム形状の全体輪郭を形成する経路に対して垂直に、前記ピン(70)に隣接させて予め定めた数のステッチャ・トウ(56)を配置する段階と、
前記基盤を貫通して垂直方向に前記ピンを前進させて、付加的なウェフト・トウ(54)及びステッチャ・トウ(56)を配置するのを可能にするのに十分なピン長さを形成する段階と、を含み、
前記ウェフト・トウ(54)及びステッチャ・トウ(56)が予め定めた厚さを形成するまで、前記ウェフト・トウ(54)を配置する段階、ステッチャ・トウ(56)を配置する段階及びピン(70)を前進させる段階を反復し、
前記予め定めた厚さが達成されると、前記ピン(70)を取り除きかつワープ・トウ(58)で置き換えて前記所望のプリフォーム形状を形成する、
方法。 - 前記所望のプリフォーム形状が、前記完成セラミックマトリックス複合材に最終製作する前に実質的にトリミングを必要としない形状である、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記完成セラミックマトリックス複合材の強度を制御するために、予め定めたステッチャ・トウ対ワープ・トウ(58)の比率を決定する段階をさらに含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記予め定めた比率が、前記ステッチャ・トウ(56)よりも多い数のワープ・トウ(58)を含み、前記ワープ・トウ(58)に対して平行な方向に前記セラミックマトリックス複合材の強度を増大させる、請求項3記載の方法。
- 予め定めた数のステッチャ・トウ(56)を配置する前記段階が、横方向繊維強化した前記完成セラミックマトリックス複合材を得るために、前記所望のプリフォーム形状に沿った位置に前記ステッチャ・トウ(56)を配置する段階を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ウェフト・トウ(54)、ステッチャ・トウ(56)及びワープ・トウ(58)が、複数の個々の繊維を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記繊維が炭化ケイ素である、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記所望のプリフォーム形状を浸透処理して、セラミックマトリックス複合材を形成する段階をさらに含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 浸透処理する前記段階が、前記プリフォームをスラリーマトリックスで鋳造してスラリー鋳造プリフォームを形成する段階と、その後前記スラリー鋳造プリフォームに溶浸処理を行って前記完成セラミックマトリックス複合材を形成する段階とを含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記セラミックマトリックス複合材が、ガスタービンエンジン用の翼形部部品(20)である、請求項8記載の方法。
