皮膚および頭髪の洗浄料組成物は一般にアニオン性の界面活性剤を主成分としており、皮膚洗浄料では高級脂肪酸塩(石鹸)を主にするもの、頭髪洗浄料ではアルキル硫酸塩やアルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルエーテル硫酸塩等が用いられている。ヒドロキシアルキルエーテルカルボン酸塩型界面活性剤はそのアニオン性界面活性剤の中でも極めて泡立ちの点で優れた機能を発揮することが知られている。しかしながら、アニオン性の界面活性剤は往々に泡立ちや洗浄力に優れているが刺激性の点で問題があった。一方、低刺激性の界面活性剤としてはノニオン性界面活性剤が知られるが、中でもポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステルは脂肪酸部のモノ脂肪酸比率を高めることにより他のポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステルに比較し起泡性も有することを見出している(例えば、特許文献1参照)。しかし、この限定されたポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステルも起泡性は有するものの泡の持続性や泡質などは不十分であるという問題点がある。

本発明者等は、前記課題を達成するために、鋭意研究を重ねた結果、
(a)特定の条件を満たすヒドロキシアルキルエーテルカルボン酸塩型界面活性剤と、(b)ポリグリセリンモノ脂肪酸エステルの含有量が70質量%以上であるポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステルと、(c)保湿剤とを含有してなる洗浄料組成物を創出することにより、前記課題を解決できることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。
