Abstract
【解決手段】走査電極および維持電極とデータ電極との交差部に放電セルを形成し、かつ前記放電セルに初期化放電を発生させる初期化期間と、前記放電セルに書込み放電を発生させる書込み期間と、前記放電セルの走査電極および維持電極に交互に維持パルスを印加することにより維持放電を発生させる維持期間とを有するプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法であって、前記維持期間に走査電極および維持電極に印加する維持パルスにおいて、すくなくとも3回に1回の周期で立ち上がり時間を短くする。これにより、維持放電時における放電セル毎に放電が発生するタイミングのばらつきを抑えることができ、輝度が不均一になることによる表示品質の低下を防ぐことができる。

Claims (2)
- 走査電極および維持電極とデータ電極との交差部に放電セルを形成し、かつ前記放電セルに初期化放電を発生させる初期化期間と、前記放電セルに書込み放電を発生させる書込み期間と、前記放電セルの走査電極および維持電極に交互に維持パルスを印加することにより維持放電を発生させる維持期間とを有するプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法であって、前記維持期間に走査電極および維持電極に印加する維持パルスにおいて、複数回に1回の周期で立ち上がり時間を短くすることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。
- 維持期間に走査電極および維持電極に印加する維持パルスにおいて、少なくとも3回に1回の周期で立ち上がり時間を短くすることを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法。
