Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、第1基板と第2基板間に所定の画像を具現する表示領域が具備された平板表示装置において、前記第1基板と第2基板とを接着する密封材と、前記第1基板または第2基板と前記密封材との間に具備された少なくとも1つの配線部と、前記密封材と前記配線部との間に介在されて前記配線部を覆う被覆層と、を含むことを特徴とする平板表示装置である。それにより、第1に、配線部の少なくとも一部分を、第1基板と密封材間に位置させることによってパネルサイズを増大させうる。第2に、配線部を被覆層に覆わせることによって配線部と密封材とが直接接触されることによって発生する腐食を防止できる。

Claims (16)
- 第1基板と第2基板間に所定の画像を具現する表示領域が具備された平板表示装置において、
前記第1基板と第2基板とを接着する密封材と、
前記第1基板または第2基板と前記密封材間に具備された少なくとも1つの配線部と、
前記密封材と前記配線部間に介在されて前記配線部を覆う被覆層と、を含むことを特徴とする平板表示装置。 - 前記被覆層は電気伝導性材質で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記被覆層は金属酸化物層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記金属酸化物層はITO、IZO、ZnO、またはIn2O3で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記被覆層は金属層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記表示領域は画素毎に設置された自発光素子を含み、
前記自発光素子は相互対向した第1及び第2電極と、前記第1及び第2電極間に介在された有機発光層を含み、
前記被覆層は前記第1電極及び第2電極のうち何れか1つと同じ材質で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記配線部のうち少なくとも1つは密封材に沿って延設されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。
- 外部に露出される複数の端子を具備した端子領域をさらに含み、
前記配線部は前記端子領域の端子のうち少なくとも一部と前記表示領域とを電気的に連結することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平板表示装置。 - 第1基板と第2基板間に所定の画像を具現する表示領域が具備された平板表示装置において、
前記第1基板と第2基板とを接着する密封材と、
前記第1基板または第2基板と前記密封材間に具備された少なくとも1つの配線部と、を含み、
前記表示領域は、
画素毎に提供された選択駆動回路と、
前記選択駆動回路を覆うように形成された絶縁膜と、
前記各画素に対応するように前記絶縁膜上に形成された画素電極と、を含み、
前記密封材と前記配線部間に介在されて前記配線部を覆うものであって、前記画素電極と同じ材質で形成された被覆層をさらに含むことを特徴とする平板表示装置。 - 前記絶縁膜は前記配線部が露出された引込み部を具備し、
前記被覆層は前記引込み部内側に具備されたことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の平板表示装置。 - 前記配線部は前記選択駆動回路の電極のうち何れか1つと同じ材質で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記被覆層は金属酸化物層を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記金属酸化物層はITO、IZO、ZnO、またはIn2O3で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記被覆層は金属層を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の平板表示装置。
- 前記配線部のうち少なくとも1つは密封材に沿って延設されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の平板表示装置。
- 外部に露出される複数の端子を具備した端子領域をさらに含み、
前記配線部は前記端子領域の端子のうち少なくとも一部と前記表示領域とを電気的に連結することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の平板表示装置。
