従来の介護用おむつは装着用テープを腹側で貼付している。そのため被介護者が取り外そうとすると簡単に引き剥がされてしまう。
おむつを剥がす癖のある被介護者に対しては、拘束用ベルト、鍵付きおむつカバー等で対応している。このような対策では被介護者に対してかなり精神的な負担を与える。
また、介護する側にとっても何となく罪悪感があり、使用を躊躇ったためにかえって被介護者を不衛生な状態にしてしまう場合もかなりある。Conventional nursing diapers have a tape for attachment on the ventral side. Therefore, if a care recipient tries to remove, it will be easily peeled off.
