Abstract
【解決手段】ニッケル−ジルコニア系固体電解質燃料電池用燃料極材料であって、比較的大きな粒径を有するジルコニア粗粒子群と、比較的小さな粒径を有するジルコニア微粒子群と、ニッケルないし酸化ニッケル粒子群との混合物からなり、各粒子群の粒径がジルコニア粗粒子>ニッケルないし酸化ニッケル粒子>ジルコニア微粒子の関係を満たすものである。

Description
(1)ジルコニア粗粒子
・燃料極材料の骨格を形成し、電解質との熱膨脹差をなくす。
・粒子同志の隙間(粒間細隙)において気孔を形成し、かつこれを維持する。
・電極作動時のニッケル粒子の凝集を防ぎ、電子伝導経路(以下、電流パスと称する。)の維持を図る。
(2)酸化ニッケル粒子(電極作動時にはニッケル粒子)
・ジルコニア粗粒子表面を被覆し、かつニッケルの凝集にも対応できるように、ジルコニア粗粒子間の隙間にも分散させる。
・電流パスを形成する。
・ジルコニア粒子との界面を多くし、電極反応場を増大させる。
(3)ジルコニア微粒子
・ジルコニア粗粒子同志ならびにジルコニア電解質板との接着を良くする。
・ニッケル粒子の固定化を図り、電流パスの遮断を防ぐ。

Claims (1)
- ニッケル−ジルコニア系固体電解質燃料電池用燃料極材料であって、比較的大きな粒径を有するジルコニア粗粒子群と、比較的小さな粒径を有するジルコニア微粒子群と、ニッケルないし酸化ニッケル粒子群との混合物からなり、前記各粒子群の粒径がジルコニア粗粒子>ニッケルないし酸化ニッケル粒子>ジルコニア微粒子の関係を満たすことを特徴とする固体電解質燃料電池用燃料極材料。
